We are 75 miles north of DFW. Winters are not usually this bad. We may get one or two snow/ice storms a year, but mostly just cold that lasts a few days then back in the 40/50 range. It has gotten to zero here. As someone else said, Corpus is milder and it is unusual for it to be this cold. I grew up in Houston and can remember only two snow that we had enough to make a snowman.

Stay warm.

We are close to Beaumont,TX. Texan born and bred. It was 22 here this morning very early. It never gets that cold here. I hate cold weather. We are about 20 miles from the coast as the crow flys. It is cold, cold, cold. BRRRRRRR
