How do you decide what to choose? Those batiks are to die for!!!

quiltsRfun 01-11-2011 03:30 PM

Got mine yesterday too, along with Keepsake Quilting. Yes, the batiks are fabulous. I may be in real trouble!

Jim 01-11-2011 03:50 PM

quiltingnonie 01-11-2011 04:20 PM

I LOVE LOVE LOVE their catalogs. I never toss it out until the next one comes! They now have their catalog digital online, so now I can look when I'm online too.

Blue Bell 01-11-2011 04:35 PM

I got mine today, too. Wow, many fabrics are calling me.

bjnicholson 01-11-2011 04:38 PM

Oh boy! I can't wait till I get mine!!! I've worn all the pictures in my old one bare!

sueisallaboutquilts 01-11-2011 04:41 PM

Yeah, did you notice it was like a BOOK!! Ahhhhhh I can't wait to open mine!! :D

NikkiLu 01-11-2011 04:43 PM

My DD lives within walking distance of Hancocks of Paducah - well, she can walk that far - not me. Anyway, they have 10 (TEN) rows of batiks in the store! Long rows!!! So hard to pick which ones you like best at the store too.

Bookladt 01-11-2011 04:50 PM

My absolutley favorite catalog and the printer they use must be very good because I have never been dissapointed in the fabric not being what I expected. The colors in the catalog are really true to the actual fabric. The quality is wonderful as well.

quilter on the eastern edge 01-11-2011 05:43 PM

Do you have to sign up each time to get the catalogue or do they automatically send it to you if your name was on the list for the last one?

Janet L52 01-11-2011 05:59 PM

Mine arrived yesterday, too. I can't put it down! Every page has gorgeous fabric and I wonder how anyone can choose which ones to order. Anyway, it is so much fun to daydream while looking thru it. Not much housework getting done around here- in fact, my husband is busy making dinner!

BOy now you did it. YOu will definitely be addicted. Order an order and when it comes in get more specials. It's a great catalog.

Bookladt 01-11-2011 06:37 PM

I think you have to at least visit their web site or order from them. It will probably cost you a few dollars for the first one but once you order you continue on their mailing list.

CarrieAnne 01-11-2011 06:43 PM

Oh, I didnt know they had catalogs! I got to sign up!

Chasing Hawk 01-11-2011 07:37 PM

I got mine today. My husband handed to me and was talking to me. And all I could do was mumble something incoherent......LOL

cmputerdazed 01-11-2011 07:39 PM

Mine came today and I think I will enjoy the catalog for weeks to come. there is just so much in it.

starshine 01-11-2011 08:33 PM

Mine was here when I got home from work. My first from Hancock's. I was surprised at how large it is.

Boscobd 01-11-2011 08:53 PM

Yeah - the Hancock's catalog is great!

wanderingcreek 01-11-2011 11:03 PM

I just looked and signed up for the catalogue. They ship to Canada and they have so many amazing batiks. I might finally find the ones I need for some patterns my DD bought when I dragged her along to a quilt show. They also had scrapbooking stuff there so she wasn't too mad at me.

Mine has a thing on the back that says, "Order from this new catalog by Feb.5th and take 10% off your order. Mention Code "DM110101". Order over $200 and shipping is free (US only). All I got to say is how hard is that if you are ordering Batiks?!?!?! I think I just fell off my spending diet. I have never seen a fabric catalog laid out like this. I think you have to pick out a pattern first and then go through the fabrics, kinda the reverse of what I usually seem to do. The website is awesome too. I didn't know where to start last night. I was on overload anyway, so will have to check it out when my brain can digest it all.

quilter on the eastern edge 01-12-2011 04:55 AM

You can also access the catalogue online
http://content.yudu.com/A1qigv/Vol54...rces/index.htm

but isn't quite the same as having The Wish Book in your hands, cozying up with a cup of tea in front of the fireplace, and browsing through the pages, is it?

damaquilts 01-12-2011 05:49 AM

just signed up. Need to sign up/change address on my others too.

grann of 6 01-12-2011 06:18 AM

Oh!!!! I am such a weak person!!! I just checked their web specials and ended up ordering $242 worth of stuff. Got free shipping and a 10% discount. Everything I ordered was on sale too. My wallet may be thinner but I am not. I can't wait to see the stuff! I wonder how long it will take to come. Oh well, it gives me incentive to finish up WIPs so I can start on some new projects with all this fine fabric   :?

polly13 01-12-2011 07:27 AM

I signed up for a catalog on-line quite awhile ago and thought they had forgotten me, but like the rest of you, it arrived this past week. I was happy to read the positive response of Bookladt about ordering from them. So often the pictures and products are worlds apart. Did someone once write they are slow in sending what you have ordered? Perhaps it wasn't Hancock's. Certainly don't want to tarnish their reputation unknowingly.

willferg 01-12-2011 07:58 AM

I love their catalog, too -- I pour over it. I've also cut out pics of fabrics to make necklaces like this:

Just another way to enjoy fabric!

chickadeee55 01-12-2011 02:53 PM
