Past or present? ;)

kathy 05-19-2010 01:32 PM

PERSONALLY I THINK THAT'S DISCUSTING

dsb38327 05-19-2010 01:33 PM

Why does your post say 17:30 when it is only 16:30???

vjengels 05-19-2010 01:42 PM

I dated a guy that was all inked up , completely sleeved, torso, back, feet , hands, and earlobes, even had a tattoo on his tongue.... he was a great guy, and it was fun for a few months, he even got a nice one of me.... anyway,,,, there's a whole lifestyle that goes along with that type of art; not one that I'm comfortable with.. I don't care to mark myself up like that. My daughter's all inked up too,, upper arms, chest ,back , legs, stomach; she's an accountant for an oil Co. pretty funny, she goes thru alot of trouble to keep those things covered, so shse looks professional.... why bother spending all that money, and then cover them up? You just never know about those 'bean counters'!

Of course, the Duke rules over Ink! Is there really a question? Since you like George so well, Marsye, we already know your answer, too.

ann clare 05-19-2010 01:47 PM

Present. I see a quilt developing.

Pam 05-19-2010 01:50 PM

I am old school, love The Duke. I have decided not to answer anything about #2. If you can't say anything nice.....

BKinCO 05-19-2010 02:42 PM

Both?

stitchinwitch 05-19-2010 02:51 PM

Ewuuuuuuugh!! cough, cough, hacking cough, spitting and cringing!

Maride 05-19-2010 02:53 PM

None, but I would take the second one and get rid of him after I traced him.

Yours says 17:33. Probably has something to do with which time zone you live in.

Does this apply to past or present?

;)

quiltsRfun 05-19-2010 03:17 PM

Past of course. Love a good John Wayne movie!

luv-e 05-19-2010 03:18 PM

I want to see the tat guy when he is 89.
He will look like a quilt. Layers folded and worn. hehehehe

LOL

brushandthimble 05-19-2010 03:19 PM

A different kind of art and lots of money went into that ink.
I would rather spend my $ on my quilting, my son...

granniebj 05-19-2010 03:23 PM

I want one in between! lol I know alot of guys with some ink and its done right. I never judge a book by its cover so to speak.

MadQuilter 05-19-2010 03:47 PM

Neither.

CAROLJ 05-19-2010 04:21 PM

I always liked a manly man, # 2 for me

CarrieAnne 05-19-2010 04:22 PM

past!

JanetM 05-19-2010 06:19 PM

Eeewww, not a fan of tatoos, especially on one's face. :hunf:

PALS65 05-19-2010 06:44 PM

Past because you know I am a George fan also!

littlehud 05-19-2010 08:43 PM

Given the two choices I'll go with past.

CAROLJ 05-19-2010 08:50 PM

BUT, you all need to take into account his piercings. You could attach a leash to his eyebrow piercing and tie him up outside. He'd scare off the riff-raff. Or, put him in a corn field and you'd wouldn't have to worry about crows. He could scare rats out of the barn. There are many other uses.

thequilteddove 05-20-2010 02:43 AM

I'd have to go w/John Wayne - at least he knew how to accessorize. The other guy's necklace really clashes w/his tats (please tell me those beads are dried prunes & not *cough, cough*) lol

Oh yeah!

I definitely take option #3! 8-)

amma 05-20-2010 03:26 PM

LMBO Marsye.... I see too many of the extremely inked to be shocked, but can't say I would be happy if my kids did this LOL

And, if we get stuck with a needle while quilting we still come out with a lot less pain than he did during his tatoo process and a lot more useful and long last art than what the tatooed guy does. When he is long gone our quilts will still be passed on.

BellaBoo 05-20-2010 04:01 PM

One tattoo on a person is enough to have to look at. My oldest DD got a small tattoo and after about a year started to regret it. Thank goodness she paid for the the easier to remove ink and it lasered off without any scarring. I paid for the removal with a smile.

That's what I think whenever I see somebody who's heavily tatooed.

katei 05-21-2010 09:57 AM

hmm, all depends on what you have in mind?
I prefer to prop John against the juke box and he won't complain while I talk!
Then he can drop the quarters while George and i dance and he sings to me!
Marsye, George is too much man for one woman to hog

ginnie6 05-21-2010 07:18 PM

the Duke of course! No tattoos here!
