where you have to step back and say. I know things are not so great right now, but I have so many other things to be thankful for.

sueisallaboutquilts 06-11-2011 01:32 PM

Oh yes, I know what you mean.
In the meantime- here's a big HUG :)

NancyG 06-11-2011 01:34 PM

Keep thinking good thoughts!!

jrharry 06-11-2011 01:56 PM

Times are hard but like you said we do have so much to be thankful for. I was feeling the blues the other day and I just started thinking of all I had instead of all I wanted.

LoriEl 06-11-2011 02:15 PM

If we didn't have "one of those days" once in awhile, we may not appreciate the good ones quite so much! If it's not health related-it will pass! Hope tomorrow is better.

wanda lou 06-11-2011 02:23 PM

I can so relate

cathyvv 06-11-2011 02:33 PM

Give yourself a big hug...you deserve it.

clem55 06-11-2011 03:16 PM

Oh yeah! And this past week had a couple of those days!LOL

Jennifer22206 06-11-2011 03:23 PM

Had one of them yesterday. I was cursed with anything I touched. It does get better, honest. :)

grayma 06-11-2011 03:51 PM

I think I can relate to you. Today wasn't my best day either. We are moving things around in the basement for the move from upstairs. I want to get rid of so much stuff that I have accumulated since moving here 10 years ago. My mom passed away and I have a lot of her stuff and then my DH's mom passed away and we got more stuff. I try to get rid of it, but then I get so sad. But we want to get the house on the market and downsize, so I know I can't take everything with me. And I don't want my children to be stuck disposing of a lot of useless stuff like we did. What a quandry! Hope you are feeling better soon and that is just one "off" day. Hugs to you!

mom-6 06-11-2011 04:05 PM

Remember you can see the glass as half empty and be sad or you can look at it as half full and be happier.

KarenK 06-11-2011 04:32 PM

Sending lots of {{{ HUGS }}}

blueangel 06-11-2011 07:06 PM

earthwalker 06-11-2011 08:24 PM

You are not alone...hang in there.

Quilting Angel 06-11-2011 09:38 PM

Isn't that the truth. We do have so much to be thankful for, and always remember, things DO get better.

Moonglow 06-11-2011 10:56 PM

Sending hugs. Hope tomorrow is better.

bebe 06-11-2011 11:28 PM

amen to that felt that way the last couple of weeks :( :(

Butterfli19 06-12-2011 03:14 AM

Rather than make the whole day bad think in terms of moments. This is a bad moment, that was a bad moment. Even if the moments are hours if you have 5 minutes of good it's better. Also, try to do something to make you smile, even if it's just smelling flowers, flipping through magazines or going for a walk.

Or, go in a room and have a good cry. That works too if you can make yourself cry. If not, it's anger and not sadness and that's a little better.

As the moments carry on things will brighten up.

damaquilts 06-12-2011 05:00 AM

hope things are going better today

debby wicke 06-12-2011 06:59 AM

Experiencing days like this , I pray that if I must go this route, for help to get thru it. He has never failed me.

pugmom 06-12-2011 07:07 AM

It will get better...I promise.

valsma 06-12-2011 07:15 AM

I know that sentiment well. Seems like lately the universe has taken pleasure in stressing me out, but I also know I have so many wonderful things in my life to be grateful.

I remind myself that there are so many people in this world that have it so much worse than I do.
I hope tomorrow finds a brighter day for you.

donnalynett 06-12-2011 08:46 AM

Take one hour at a time and keep telling yourself you can get through this.

Where did you get the picture of the Boston Terrior? I would love to make one for my sister who has always had a Boston Terriro.

I think we all have those days. Its ok to feel bad for one day but take only one day for that lol I know its said that God doesnt give us more than we can handle but there have been times that I think he had me mixed up with someone else lol I did come thru it though. Heres a big hug ((((()))))

nancia 06-12-2011 11:47 AM

honey, it does get better! can you feel the love and caring coming at you ? you're not going anywhere alone, we're all with you. hugs and love!

Margie 06-12-2011 12:10 PM

Good to be able to step back and adjust thinking. That and prayer will get you through the problems....This too shall pass.

lisajane 06-12-2011 12:31 PM

Been there, done that. When I feel like that, I have to stop and think about so many things I take for granted. I am not rich by any means, but I truly am blessed by the things I have. I have family, friends, people who care. That's all that matters. I don't need the best shiniest thing that just came out. Or the most up to date newfangled technology. I need to know I am needed, and that I make a difference in somebody's world. And I do, As you do. So don't be so hard on yourself. You make a difference to more people than you realize.

oldbalt99 06-12-2011 01:08 PM

Big hug!. You have already took the first move to out last this time, there are good things in your life. Let that life line hold you fast through this phase in time.

Sandra in Minnesota 06-12-2011 01:17 PM

I'll be praying for you. Tomorrow will be better.

trolleystation 06-12-2011 02:39 PM

Warm hugs from here.

Quilterfay 06-12-2011 02:44 PM

One of my favourite saying is that good things come from bad things. We downsized a couple of years ago from the house that I dearly loved. But it was too big and taxes were high. So I made the decision that we would downsize. My DH was very happy to have me finally make that decision.

My deciding factor was that I like being a snowbird and with the smaller house we can afford that.

This house is just as good I just don't have it as organized as I had the last house. But it will get there. I retire this fall so I will have time to straighten things out.

Keep your chin up .... it will get better.
