Does everybody on here do quilting only or do you do other crafts also? I get in moods where all I want to do is crochet, or cross stitch and won't even think of quilting for months. Then, I will suddenly want to only sit at my sewing machine and forget housework, cooking and everything else in the world.
I am sure, given all the creativity one sees here, that many of us do many different crafts (smile).
I also love machine knitting and also settle in to crochet afghans in the cold months.
I also enjoy crochet.......
I knit and crochet as well as sew. I will knit and crochet while I watch t.v. The t.v. is usually not on while I sew.
I love to do hand work. I crochet and do counted cross stitch. I've also just started painting again.
Crochet, sewing, ect.,
I do cross stitching, needlepoint, crewel, just started to do some knitting
I do that all the time. It's a wonder anything ever gets done around here :) I read for days, cross stitch, paint, sew, knit, crochet, bead, quilt, garden, shop and decorate. It just comes and goes and there's no rhyme or reason for it :) Thank goodness my husband thinks it is great. He's happy as long as we get to travel, golf and watch football which I always stop and do :) Luckily we have a wonderful pet sitter that comes anytime to watch our 7 fur babies!
I love to crochet and knit as well.... I generally have one project each of quilting, knitting, and crocheting sitting right next to my couch so I can just grab whatever I'm in the mood for on any given day. :)
Cold weather at night crochet...Been thru every craft invented...broken china, stenciling, cross stitch, needlept, decoupage, hooking rugs...Only thing I havent tried was scrapbooking and just can't get the knack of knitting...
Oh I love to crochet. I also do it while watching tv. Used to do cross stitch but haven't in a long time.
I do cross stitch and needlepoint.
I used to cross stitch, but haven't done so in many years. I am slowly learning to crochet. My youngest DD taught her self to knit and crochet. I love all the soft, colorful and fuzzy yarns.
I also love to mess around with craft paints and decopage. Mostly on recycled items from thrift stores or garage sales. |
I don't know if it is considered a craft, but I do scrapbooking.
I like to crochet and scrapbook. And yes I consider it a craft.
Counted cross stitch, learned how to knit but it hurt my wrists so no more for me.
I make toothbrush rugs
I love to knit.
I, too, have done a lot of different crafts, but crocheting and quilting are the 2 most enjoyed. With yarns being so high it is harder to make afghans for charity.
I do digital scrapbooking. And some Cross stitch, but mainly quilt.
I also embroider, crochet and knit, although my knitting skill isn't that great.
I like to knit and do assorted other crafts as well, jewelry making, scrapbooking, and really whatever I can think up and execute! But sewing has def come to the forefront of my crafting lately!
crochet, embroidery, cross stich, paint (oil and watercolor) wood work (refinish old and make new, beeding, I also like ceramics and pottery.
I learned to crochet when I was in my teens. I could just look at something and create a pattern for it. When I was in college, I busted up my wrist really badly and couldn't crochet without pain.
So I learned how to quilt. |
I do many other things
It comes on in fits mostly. Right now I am into making ornaments. Got an idea, and have run with it. Been making 1 or 2 a day, just cause I can. Thats not quilting but sewing. I will make clothes, purses, dog beds, just about anything that can come out of that sewing machine. I will garden, build (a dog house, shelves, what ever comes on as a "good-idea") I might get the gumption to refinish a floor or paint a room. I don't think im very "crafty" I just have a compulsion, a need, to fix it, mend it, or make it. |
My other passion is Papercrafting and Cardmaking... I love being able to make my own cards... love stamping scenes and coloring them and creating something beautiful...
I'm starting to like machine embroidery.Connie in CO
scrapbooking and cardmaking.
I don't want to do anythhing but sew. I was in the middle of building a dollhouse when I discovered quilting and the dollhouse is still half done.
I sew for my granddaughters. I crochet and do counted cross stitch too. I like to make crafty things for my sewing area, like covers for my machine, organizers, pin cushions, etc.
I do a lot of other crafts and home dec. With 16 grandkids I also make a lot of clothing and embroidery a lot of purchased jeans.
I can knit, haven't done it in a while, embroider, counted and not, and crochet. I'm not very good at knitting and crocheting, mostly because it takes so much longer for me and I would much rather have a needle in my hand (embroider or hand quilt) but I can do them and do pick them up from time to time
Cross stitching is my first love. I love hand work. I do a tiny bit of hand quilting (still learning) on small pieces. I don't like being tied to a machine. Maybe because mine is in the basement? Once I get started on quilting I'm good to go.
I do a little of everything as well. Crochet, stained glass, mosaic, paint, quilt.....
I like to do mosaic work, knitting and sewing projects other than quilting at times, also making some jewelery.
I knit socks and scarves also. Love yarn almost as much as fabric and when I find a shop that carries both, I'm at my happiest. Connecting Threads has a sister division called KnitPics with good prices, nice choice, and good service.
