trumpet vines. I loved then in the summer, BUT HATED to 'clean' up after then once the blooms died off. Oh well, pros & cons to everything, Enjoy them.

I love trumpet vine- your home looks lovely.

sandyo 07-10-2011 04:22 PM

beautiful, my trumpet vines are just starting to bloom, not on the house though

PurplePassion 07-10-2011 04:50 PM

They are very pretty and attract hummingbirds. I have one by my window on a trellis , but cut it back every fall. It can be very invasive!!! and crawl in the window and under the siding.

earthwalker 07-10-2011 05:45 PM

Pretty....thanks for sharing the beauty.

Jo Mama 07-11-2011 05:53 AM

It's so pretty.

Cassews 07-11-2011 06:21 AM

very awesome .. we are in the process of re-doing the flower gardens to reflect us. Trumpet vines are in the backyard and just not as hardy as others. So I hope one can transplant them !LOL I will check with my local garden shop before I do ..

How beautiful. I miss the flowers most of all that we used to grow back East. The heat just wipes them out. Hope you enjoy your garden to it's fullest.

Lindsey 07-11-2011 08:10 AM

they are so pretty but hard to get rid of. I planted one back in the garden and it got out of hand. same thing with wisteria i planted I just can't get rid of it.

BarbaraSue 07-11-2011 08:14 AM

I love trumpet vines, but my DH hates them- cals them an invasive nuisance.
Please do enjoy them, they are beautiful. :)

One of the things I loved about being stationed in Italy were the lovely flowers growing on country cottages. I think I will try a trumpet vine here.

IBQUILTIN 07-11-2011 12:22 PM
