We brought this little big boy home on Saturday. He is a 10 year old Bichon, who was supposed to be five years old. He was filthy dirty, but a loving little man. In the tub he went when we got home and since Saturday, he is a happy baby boy!!!! He is so full of kisses. Off to the groomer they both go. His name is Scooter and he is the one on the couch. Tony is on the floor. Tony is our baby boy at five years old.

Love these two little guys to pieces!

Scooter is a little bigger than Tony, they both have their own personalities and quirks!

Gramof6 06-28-2011 06:16 PM

Am so happy that you have this handsome guy in your home. As was mentioned, so many Seniors get overlooked. They deserve to have wonderful homes for the remainder of yrs they have. Both of your pets look fabulous. Thanks for sharing and for taking in this guy!

cmg625 06-28-2011 06:27 PM

How precious! I want one like that, but my DH says until I retire I shouldn't get one. :(

Murphy 06-28-2011 06:29 PM

quiltjoey 06-28-2011 06:38 PM

I'm so happy he has found a great home and a nice chair!!

Maggiesmom 06-28-2011 06:38 PM

The love you get from a rescued dog is priceless. I have four who have been rescued or re-homed. Best dogs ever.

QuiltingJaguar 06-28-2011 06:45 PM

I rescued two dogs, one blind and the other one eye removed, senior handicapped dogs that were about to be put down. Two years later Pepe is now 13 1/2 and blind in his other eye now. I had to put the 17 yr old down a few months ago with many major medical situations. They are very loving and will give you many happy days.

What a sweetie...I rescued my little dog some years ago...Everyone at the shelter was 4 the day I went:)...I think my guy was closer to 7 or 8 but I didn't care. May you have many happy years together.

Marion T 06-29-2011 01:45 AM

How could anyone not want him? Good for you. I hope you have a long and happy life together.

How beautiful!!

BuzzinBumble 06-29-2011 05:45 AM

Congratulations and well done! Tony and Scooter look so precious. I just love a Bichon's little black button eyes and nose. You did a very good thing to rescue an older dog.
Our family was all set to buy a puppy from a breeder, whose dog turned out not to be pregnant after all. Best thing that ever happened 'cause our kids talked us into going the rescue route instead. We are now 100% rescue converts and much more educated about the issue of homeless pets. This April we added our third rescue dog to the family pack. As you surely know - there really is a big difference!

Sandra-P 06-29-2011 06:06 AM

They both look sweet!

Grinster 06-29-2011 06:43 AM

DebraK 06-29-2011 06:59 AM

there is a special place in my affections for people who rescue the older dogs. You have a big heart.

SuzyQ 06-29-2011 07:00 AM
