You have to be in Central Oregon. I woke up to the same snow this morning. The drive to work was so much fun. I am not ready for snow. We are suppose to have a lot of it this winter.

We are 25 miles south of you in the bustling metropolis of La Pine. We have become quite cosmopolitan with our 2 traffic lights and 4 way stop...............LOL

I love the little quilt shop you have in LaPine. It has been a while since I was there, but they were really friendly.

I'm with you, it's a 4-letter word and if you say it loud, those clouds roll in and dump a load. Here is a photo from last year, just too much fun with the snowflakes when they gang up.

Got the back driveway plowed last winter

BLERGH! Snow makes me crazy, okay crazier. I absolutely love to watch snow falling, it can be a very zen moment. But once it hits the ground, I hate it. Even when I am able to stay inside I still feel it in my joints, and when I go outside I slip and fall (and usually break something).

Patchworkmarion 10-26-2010 04:22 PM

How beautiful. We never see snow here in Ipswich,Australia.

lovequilting2 10-26-2010 05:52 PM

Oh, I am soooo jealous!! I can't wait for the snow. Winter is my favorite season.

judi_lynne 10-26-2010 06:00 PM

WOW!!! I just love the view from your back porch...just lovely. Wish I was there...with the sun shining, though...no snow for me!!

Thank you, it is a wonderful view. We enjoy our house, my husband and son built the patio for me. I always wanted a house with a covered patio.

She is a nice lady and really helpful. I go in there once in a while.

We live in eastern WA -- no snow here yet except the ski slopes in the area. You must be in the Cascades! Road cams for the passes certainly look wintry.

Norene B 10-26-2010 07:06 PM

We got snow out here in Custer, SD today also.

tlrnhi 10-26-2010 07:07 PM

I want snow!

Grandmama Pat 10-27-2010 04:57 AM

We got snow last year for the first time since we've lived here (27 years). It melted almost on impact with the ground. Roads never iced over or anything like that. It was beautiful.

Ye we have had snow this morning but it's hard to see as it's being DRIVEN by 60 Mile Per Hour Winds. I'm just not ready yet!!!!!!!!

quiltingfan 10-27-2010 05:52 AM

I want lots and lots of snow this year.. Love the stuff and since we will be moving next summer this might be the last chance we get to enjoy snow for a long time....

amandasgramma 10-27-2010 06:25 AM

Chasing Hawk --- I have pics of icycles from 5 yrs ago, too! winter of 2005/2006 was a GOOD one! Our snow has mostly melted......sigh....

iltoaz 10-27-2010 06:49 AM

Love those pictures! to look at while I sit by the pool. Twenty years ago we lived in the Midwest - don't miss it at all; well maybe on Christmas Eve. When we first moved to a warmer climate we had trouble seeing Christmas lights on a cactus. Thanks for the beautiful pics!

Latrinka 10-27-2010 09:05 AM

My God that looks good, still burning up here!

pab58 10-27-2010 07:23 PM

I actually do love snow. I just HATE driving in it!! The first few snowfalls are the absolute worst! People have forgotten how to drive in snow, and I pray all the way to and from work that I will make it there and back home again in one piece!!! I so-o-o-o wish I could retire. Unfortunately, I will probably die at my school desk before that happens! I would love to be home and be able to sew and do needlework to my heart's content and make from-scratch homemade meals every day! Oh, to dream!! :|

Dee 10-27-2010 08:48 PM

Beautiful. However sure hope we don't get the snow we had last year.

Well, join me in working until whenever. I have wished for several years now that I could retire and just sew to my heart's content and do the things I want to do. However, that's not going to happen for awhile though. Could it be some cosmic force that's against the people named Pat???

Love your view, but let it stay on your side of the mountain. I went over White Pass on Sunday, and was shocked to see it snowing. Weatherman said, it would stay above 4,000'. Boy, was he wrong!

Marilynsue 10-28-2010 11:28 AM

It's beautiful and I hope it stays in YOUR back yard! I'm not ready.

I love snow...if I'm skiing. I'd prefer hot weather year round. In fact we go to Hawaii in January b/c it get's cold here in Tucson, in January. :) :)
