It is snowing or at least starting. The weatherman was almost right. :P

We shall see if his predictions come through for the rest of the day (1/10th" to an 1" of the white stuff) before morning.

oh my goodness! I won't mention this to my 10 year old, she'll think we'll be getting it too. Here in South Carolina, we get only 1 or 2 days of snowing.

It is beautiful!

doitallmom 10-24-2010 12:58 PM

grammyp 10-24-2010 01:02 PM

Please send some south east, I'd love to have some. It was 83 this weekend. I am so ready for cool weather.

bkb 10-24-2010 01:05 PM

Chasing Hawk, You have cute curtians, and a beautiful view! Snow is so calming to me ( at least at under 10 inches! LOL). Just make some coco and enjoy.

I'm dreaming of 75-80
so warm and toasty

oldswimmer 10-24-2010 03:25 PM

Weatherman said we were supposed to have a warmer than normal winter here.....yea right, I won't hold my breath.
I love the days when the snow keeps us inside and everything closes down. I put something in the crock pot and GO SEW ALL DAY.

Beautiful view Chasinghawk!

sewTinker 10-24-2010 03:31 PM

80-something here today. but mostly I am writing because I have curtain envy.

fidgety 10-24-2010 04:39 PM

erstan947 10-24-2010 05:12 PM

Snow is a 4 letter word and my mama taught me not to talk like that!:)

charmpacksplus 10-24-2010 06:16 PM

Yeah, yeah, but that was an exception! (From my mouth to God's ears!!) We will NOT have that again this decade. Period.

What a beautiful picture and I love your curtains. I keep saying I am not ready for winter much less the snow but I guess no matter how much I say it, its going to happen. Don't get me wrong I love the snow I just feel our spring & summer were so short. But I do love the idea of crockpot dinners and lots of sewing.
Thanks for sharing your day.

Jodie02b 10-24-2010 09:58 PM

You can keep that snow over there! I'm hoping that the weather keeps up and my boys can show off their costumes.

Pzazz 10-25-2010 06:56 AM

We are supposed to get some tomorrow night into Wednesday morning....and I have to go to the next town, (1/2 hour drive in good weather) early morning, before work. Should be fun. We have had such a beautiful fall, we really can't complain that we are almost at the end of October and no white stuff yet.

MissTreated 10-25-2010 07:43 AM

Ever so slight of a rain this morning, no snow yet (and I'm knocking on wood). I have to get a new (used, but new to me) washer/dryer installed before it snows, so I'm hoping to get it done today. You just keep that white stuff all you want. Ours will come soon enough and stay longer than I would care for!

I love everyones pic's of the snow.......beautiful!

HisPatchwork 10-26-2010 04:25 AM

Beautiful! {to look at} It was 70 this morning at 7am. They are calling for lows around 40 by Fri. I love this area that I live in now. I grew up in northern IL, and had plenty of snow and cold weather. I do love the cool, crisp mornings as fall approaches.

finch 10-26-2010 04:28 AM

I will miss the first snow. But that is the only day that I will miss it.It is beautiful and then it gets messy.Being in Florida now,I doubt I will see any. However in 1973 it was blurring snow flurries in St.Augustine.I only really love to see it snow on Christmas day.

I second that!! My husband and I were in the northeast corner of Montana where he was stationed in 1959. It was sooo beautiful there and we both loved it even though we were both raised in the south. Love your view!! The view from my kitchen window was similar because we lived about 30 miles away from any town way up in the mountains. I've missed it for about 50 years and always wanted to revisit but just haven't taken the time.

CarrieAnne 10-26-2010 05:33 AM

Pretty! But I am not ready for it to snow yet!
