How do you keep the feathers intact? I have never seen feather painting before, but you sure have impressed me.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments... It took me a while to not be so heavyhanded, which is the key to getting the feather not to split. Sometimes it does anyway, so I look at it as part of it's character.

I met a lady at M. D. Anderson hospital in Houston that painted on turkey feathers. I think she was from Oregon. They are beautiful.
