Sew very nice to receive a reminder now and then. Just goes to show how we try to watch each others backs. Thanx

My kids are in their 40s and 50s. No worry about them.
My two purebred dogs are never outside without me.
My alley cats are never out of the house.
Lots of info on ancestry and census websites. If you are dead or alive all your info is out there. Telephone and address are easy to get.

If such things need to be exchanged, this is what PM's are for.

I revived this thread again.

Please do not post addresses or other personal contact info on this or any forum where "mean" people can find them.

Even though one might feel safe here cause it's our "home". There are still people trying to "peek in the windows".

Yes anything you wouldn't post on Facebook shouldn't be posted here.

People post the dumbest things on FB. Emails, address, phone numbers, etc. I would bet that most photos posted have the GPS co-ordinates imbedded. Scary.

My new camera has the option to put the GPS co-ordinates or not. I always opt for not.

I try to not use my children's names or pictures on here, but had a momentary lapse several years when I posted a picture of a completed quilt. My son's daughters' pictures were on the back. Several weeks later, I was on Pinterest looking for a particular type of quilt and there were my granddaughters. I was sick about it - I called my son who was a police officer for eight years just to let him know. There were no names or addresses, of course, but I felt terrible putting the pics of those two beauties out into the world. They post their own pictures on FB all the time, but I don't.

The first thing they do is add the picture to their catalog offering to custom kidnap YOUR child for pedophiles! Police have warnings about this all over the Internet. Please be careful with your precious Angels. (I have even heard of the same thing being done with purebred animal pictures posted online!)

Oh dear god, thank you for the reminder. I will never post photos again. I do wish my Daughter would stop as well. I never mention where they live or particular's as well. But, I guess it really wouldn't be that hard for the criminals and tech savvy.
