Sometimes these photos just seem so 'close to home', so identifiable with, for those of us from far away from the scene. I still get a knot in my stomach over this event. Saw a donation collection point at the grocery store here in Lynchburg VA this morning.

Just had to take a pic of the JoAnn's store. Don't think I will be shopping there anytime soon! The white you see through the windows is SKY! There is no roof or back walls. Sorry the pic is not so good, but it's hard to drive and take a picture and not run into anybody. I heard from a clerk at the JoAnns in Fayetteville, AR that they were already planning to build a new building in Joplin before the tornado hit, and it's going to be bigger and better than the one that was there. YAY!!! I also heard that the company was extremely considerate of the employees and has taken good care of them financially and in other ways. That's really good to hear! |
I wonder where all those bolts of fabric ended up...and spools of thread..they must have traveled for miles!
