grendelskin 12-21-2010 06:59 AM

Wow, thanks! We got up at 2:30 to try to get a look but it was far too cloudy here to see it.

kristen0112 12-21-2010 06:59 AM

It was cloudy early on....but it cleared up for the big finale!
You can see what I got on my blog, Last link under my siggie....
But, man, I froze my nose off shooting!!!

amandasgramma 12-21-2010 07:24 AM

Trish -- great pictures! We couldn't get the last finale!!!! I was so disappointed!

rusty quilter 12-21-2010 07:25 AM

I was up--(not because I wanted to be!) but too cloudy to see.

redkimba 12-21-2010 07:36 AM

Thank you for posting these. I slept hard last night so I did not wake up for this eclipse.

grannie-k 12-21-2010 07:37 AM

too cloudy here too.

MinnieKat 12-21-2010 08:05 AM

Thanks for the pics!! I would have loved to see it myself but we're having this STUPID snowstorm!

leaha 12-21-2010 08:06 AM

great shots, thanks!

Lacelady 12-21-2010 08:16 AM

Great pics, you must have a good lense on your camera. No eclipse for us in Ireland.

quiltingnonie 12-21-2010 08:16 AM

Awesome pix! I missed it, so appreciate the photos. When we were kids, my Dad ALWAYS rousted my brothers and I out of warm beds to view every terrestial event! Altho I hated it then, I love it now....:)

dellareya 12-21-2010 10:03 AM

We've had rain, storms and cloud covers here for the past week. I didn't think we would be able to see it, but I stayed up and boy was I glad I did. The sky was clear as a bell and the eclipse was awesome. Loved it.

amma 12-21-2010 10:44 AM

Thank you for sharing! :D:D:D
It was too cloudy here to see it :(

aliaslaceygreen 12-21-2010 10:47 AM

you are all very welcome! They are not the best moon shots I've ever taken....the moon was VERY high by the time it started....and it was frigid and windy! ETA...I was responding to the person or persons who referred to me by name, as earlier in the thread I posted that I too had gotten some shots...Sorry If I hijacked your thread, I was just responding to messages I received...

SandyinZ4 12-22-2010 06:08 PM

Thanks for posting pics. Since the next one won't be around for another 80 years,(someone on the news said) many of us will never see another, so pics are good!

Calico Grammy 12-22-2010 06:19 PM

Wonderful photos

QuiltswithConvicts 12-22-2010 06:33 PM

Thanks for the pics!

Hobbs is a suburb of the great state of Texas, and Texas was supposed to be the best place to see it all. It was too cloudy to watch it when I crashed last night. Found out today that the sky had cleared and it was beautiful!

Berta48 12-22-2010 08:58 PM

The last time this event happened was 1647.... that's a little more than 80 years.... but even at 80 years... you're right, most of us won't be here to see it

gramquilter2 12-23-2010 12:11 PM

Wow, neat pictures.

kwiltkrazy 12-23-2010 04:56 PM

Great pics, I'm on the coast near Florence, we couldn't see it. Hubby taped it off the tv for me, aren't I lucky!
