Yes! Most, probably 90% of my mail is advertising junk mail!

We already have in-town mail go 70 miles to be sorted. Now some of the towns near here will be losing their post offices. Personally, I would not mind having no delivery on Saturday. I just want to keep the postal service. In our area, FedEx does not have a place to send things, and UPS has an office open only an hour a day. I would hate to lose the post office.

Then we get social security as everyone else does. Also 40 some cents for a stamp is pretty cheap when you think it can go from east to west coast.

Sorting station closing here in SW FL too. I also heard they were considering eliminating Saturday deliveries, which doesn't make a lot of sense. Won't they then have to double up on personnel to deliver everything on Monday? If they have to pick a day to eliminate, it should be in the middle of the week so there's only one day extra to deliver.

I for one worked very hard for over 20 years in the USPS sorting & ditributing your mail by hand for 10 & 12 hours a day with one 30 min.dinner break after 6 hours work, & one 15 min. break. They lay off workers now because eveything is automated. But...the management levels like most government agencies is top heavy with people who never touch mail or sell a stamp. Get my drift? It is sad what is happening & private mail will be expensive & a mess.

I blame it on junk mail! and lack of real letter writing, most kids only know how to facebook!
