Problem with my crockpot
I cooked beef vegetable soup in my new crockpot and I cannot get it clean. I read on line that you can put boiling water in the pot and then put a dryer sheet in an let it set all night. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone else have any other suggestions on how to clean a crockpot? HELP!

Is the crockpot removeable? and what is it made of? crock, metal, etc?
Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide mixed into a paste might do it.....scratchless bar cleanser.......Dawn makes a dishsoap that is like it soaking overnight it says on the label. Good luck. |
I use Dawn and an overnight soak for most issues like this.
|
Once you get it clean you might want to consider using crockpot liners available near the foil in the grocery store.

i would let it soak overnite in hot soapy dawn i buy the crockpot liners they are wonderful
|
I use Bon Ami and dawn. A little water and a crocheted round scratcher that I make and gently clean.

Thanks for the tips for my crockpot. I certainly will try them.

my crock pot is old so I got some of the liners and they work great especialy when camping,
|
I just use baking soda to clean. It usually works fine.
