Default Problem with my crockpot

I cooked beef vegetable soup in my new crockpot and I cannot get it clean. I read on line that you can put boiling water in the pot and then put a dryer sheet in an let it set all night. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone else have any other suggestions on how to clean a crockpot? HELP!

Is the crockpot removeable? and what is it made of? crock, metal, etc?

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide mixed into a paste might do it.....scratchless bar cleanser.......Dawn makes a dishsoap that is like it soaking overnight it says on the label.

Good luck.

I use Dawn and an overnight soak for most issues like this.

Once you get it clean you might want to consider using crockpot liners available near the foil in the grocery store.

I use Bon Ami and dawn. A little water and a crocheted round scratcher that I make and gently clean.

I just use baking soda to clean. It usually works fine.
