Thank you!!! :-)

You don't look old enough to have a daughter graduating!
Good for you, making a satin dress. Back in 1950, I made mine from lavender eyelet embroidered fabric that cost less than a dollar a yard. Next year (my senior year 1951) I made my dress from a beautiful fuchsia water marked taffeta... Thought I was queen of the ball. Wonder what happened to it. I didn't have girls!!! :(

Cute couple and lovely dress.

butterflies5518 05-02-2011 05:50 PM

She's beautiful - has her momma's smile. My daughter is built like yours and we had a heck of a time finding something "pretty" too. Once it was over I donated the dress the next year to a group that would collect them for those that could not afford a dress at all.

Mimito2 05-02-2011 05:55 PM

She is beautiful cause she has her Mothers smile.

cjomomma 05-02-2011 05:58 PM

They really do make a wonderful couple.

Oh my, the memories that brings up of going with our daughter to find a special prom dress for her senior prom. Beautiful dress and daughter and very sweet looking young man.(he would probably hate that description-lol)

slk350 05-05-2011 08:45 PM

She looks lovely and I know what you mean about the cost. When my DD was in high school she went to so many proms and semi's I almost went broke. Her most expensive was $200 and I made one for her. Now, we just married her off...it never ends !! LOL

owlvamp 05-05-2011 08:46 PM
