has anyone tried the Genie bras? i have some similar slip over ones and they certainly don't do what the t.v. ad says theirs does. just wondered. i happen to hate bras.
i did get some Gilligan Omalley camisoles at Target with built in ones that work well but are hot for summer.

bearisgray 07-02-2011 09:53 AM

I was wondering about them, too.

They certainly looked awesome - but I need buckets, not mini-teacups.

nativetexan 07-02-2011 10:31 AM

all the models were DD size they showed. not me either but i do need something.

AlwaysQuilting 07-02-2011 10:36 AM

I was interested in them also, including the Ahhh Bra which I think is almost the same thing.

Here's what I found online about the Genie bra.

   It would be nice if the designers could come up with a great comfortable bra for larger sizes.

dakotamaid 07-02-2011 11:14 AM

Yes, I sucked up the money and bought some. Whoa!!! Not for this C! They might be good for AAs. One of those things that will lay in a drawer forever.:)

hobo2000 07-02-2011 12:01 PM

What's with all of these formed bra's. You hang out in the middle and being a 34D, I certainly do not need a push up pad but you can't find a bra with out them. I had some nice lace bra's from Victorias Secret for $39.95 each. have worn them for 3 years, very comfortable but now they don't carry them anymore.

nativetexan 07-02-2011 12:14 PM

thanks much. i figured. so not for me. too much $ anyhow.

Janetlmt 07-02-2011 12:38 PM

I am so glad someone has posted about these bras. I was so tempted to buy them. I have very tender skin from cancer and regular bras hurt and chafe. Guess a sport bra is my best bet.
Thank you for posting this. I won't waste my money.

There was a topic about this awhile back, but I don't know what all was posted. You might do a search.

needles3thread 07-02-2011 05:54 PM

Try Breezies bras from television shopping channel QVC.
Best I have found

I looked at them. Too bad they don't have adjustable straps, I need them.

Annaquilts 07-02-2011 07:44 PM

Even for us with nothing. Boy are those things uncomfortable.

My sister bought some and had to keep ordering up on the size. She hasn't received her last replacement order yet. But she said you need to go up several sizes.

Learner747 07-03-2011 06:59 AM

After searching for decades for a comfortable and a FITTING bra, finally found one. It is found on HerRoom website. Truly the AH Bra!

reeskylr 07-03-2011 08:33 AM

Infomercials are big ripoffs. I just sit and chuckle, because if it is one thing you can depend on it is the:

'And if you call in the next Ten Minutes...'

I love this and will be sharing with a friend of mine. What a wonderful way to look at it. LOL

Which bra are you referring to? Always looking for a comfy bra. Thanks
Erma

I bought the AHHH bra and PLEASE , PLEASE don't waste you money. They have no support, they roll-up, they bind, etc.,etc. Does that sound like the voice of experience?

Vat 07-03-2011 11:06 AM

Right now, I am trying new Playtex that claims the straps want fall off your shoulders. Which is one of my main complaints, they do not even slide. They are wonderful. Have had one for a couple of months and will buy more.

vickyfortune 07-03-2011 12:10 PM

Does anyone sell a size 44 long?

jollyquilting 07-03-2011 01:58 PM

Thanks for the info, I was wondering, although not too hard.

adrianlee 07-03-2011 04:06 PM

I have something similar my sister got me. OK but not very supportive. Has anyone tried making their own? There are patterns out there, I think Kwit Sew?

quilting librarian 07-03-2011 04:06 PM

Thanks for posting this. I have seen the info-mercial several times and considered trying them. I hate bras. However, must wear them sometimes.

purplefiend 07-03-2011 04:10 PM

I'm so glad you posted this! I nearly ordered some. I'm a 42DDD. Thanks for saving me money. :-D

MissJMac 07-03-2011 05:37 PM

Come now, how often does a product do what it advertises on TV?? :>)
Think about all the "As Seen On TV" gadgets that you've seen at Thrift Shops and Garage Sales. I saw several Thigh Masters on my last trip to the Goodwill.
And how many of your family members or friends have gotten rich in real estate lately. It was recently reported that the mansion one of those guys was photographed in was rented for the day for his Infomercial.
and so on and so on and so on..... LOL

Me, too, only I need a G cup.......and I had thought about buying those AHH bras--used to get the "SuperStrap Bra", and loved them, but of course, now they do not have them.

I had prepared for the possiblility by buying eight of them, but now they are worn out.....

nancia 07-03-2011 06:13 PM

cacique bras, part of lane bryant. my favorites are the cotton, non-padded with underwires (i like them) and comes in colors and prints with matching panties available (i like that, too). other styles are nice also. many styles go up to g, maybe even h. look up their website. if you go to the store they can measure you for sizing.

I also wear the Cacique bras, they are very comfortable and fit well, the no wire cotton bras are my choice.

I've tried the Ah Bra and it was No AH for me. It felt like a straight jacket and the banding in the front that they say won't ride up did on me. I sent them back and it's taken 5 weeks and I still don't have credit to my credit card. They also have very high handling fees. A 19.99 bra cost $39 with shipping and handling. WOW and they don't refund any of that fee. Buyer beware!

Maureen 07-03-2011 06:53 PM

Agree, Breezies are the best

Debra Mc 07-03-2011 08:04 PM

Don't know about this one. I have to have adjustable straps. Can't take all that pulling on shoulders. I am going to get me a Miracle bra from Victoria Secrets. Will make us flat girls look good. DD has one. Better than a boob job.

I so agree. I am a 34D and every bra out there is padded! Yikes! I like to try them on before I purchase them, but may have to go to ordering one online.

I haven't checked and hope it is still there.
