:? Not a chance, I'll warrant. :(
Do you remember when, years and years ago, sugar prices increased the price of a candy bar? That never came down either.

I had a clerk at the fabric store ask me what a fat quarter was. She said she didn't sew. I think if you work with fabrics you should have some knowledge of it. Or maybe she was learning on the job. She learned what a fat quarter was from me.

My guess is that we are stocking up. If material prices go above 12.00 I may not be able to afford it - I'll use up my stash. Now - here's the bad news I just had to buy material for a BOM at 10.99 a yd. ouch

I will only be buying my blocks from there no other material because they said it was going up to 11.99 a yd.

So much for my new love of quilting - I get interested and it skyrackets. Hope it's not because of me.

I am not sure if it is the prices going up, or the country is moving towards being more 'crafty'. I am trying to come up with the word. Self reliant, back to the old ways. I know a lot more people are purchasing greenhouses here and moving towards making their items, grow their own food and so on. Back to basics maybe?

It's easier to find a quilting buddy if you put in your location; at least a state, maybe? Just a thought.....

I totally agree with this statement...
that's what I am doing.

I am saving everything including my "crumbs" so when I can not afford to get any more material I will at least have something to quilt..Already started stock piling our old clothes that we do not wear or want anymore..Not sure what is going to happen or if the prices will ever go down to where the cost is affordable again..

It is near the OK border, about midway between Texarkana & Fort Smith. Coming for a visit?
