NZQuilter - Yes, I fall asleep quilting. I run FMQ designs thru my mind when I have trouble falling alseep. It is better than running thru some of the day's event.

I have the opposite problem. I cannot sleep some
nights think about a quilt project. It goes around and around figuring out color placement, layout or how I want to quilt a top. Yeah, it is in my blood. And I hope no transfusion will cure it.

I'm with your DH on this! I was traveling to Seattle with my DH a few years ago for a counseling conference and while waiting to board our plane was flipping through a quilting magazine. A lady was watching my across the aisle. When we got to Seattle, she handed me the book she'd been reading--a collection of essays on quilting by (I think) Libby Lehman. Loved it! On the way home a young woman sitting across from me in the airport made a comment about being a quilter when she saw my book. When we got off the plane I'd finished the book and handed it to her! She and her husband were on their way home from trying to find a house near Ft. Lewis (his next stationing) that would have room for her LA--she said nice thing about the Army is they moved the LA each move.

The original book owner had been going to Seattle to find a place near her sister to move to--but worried about moving stash and also about the storage unit she rented in Phoenix AZ full of stash! (we were flying out of KC)

It's semantics, cashs mom :D My sister said "At least it's a healthy addiction" :D

Yes, I like "passion". I was thinking "you say obsession like it is a bad thing" :)

I too am so obsessed with quilting. I think about my next project as I am sewing on my current one. Sewing and quilting relieves so much stress and I feel so relaxed if I get to sew every day. I am glad I am not the only one that has quilting on their minds all of the time!!!!

I like the term "Passions" much better. Less likely to call us crazy.(maybe)

Definitely a passion of mine. I even dream about it. (Is that too weird?)
I was disappointed in how my current project looked on my design wall because it wasn't turning out how I had envisioned it and I actually dreamed of how to fix it. (OK, I may be tipping into obsession...)

Watson, I've done that before- not with quilts but with other things. It's funny but also nice to wake up with a solution to something.
