He's so beautiful. I was just thinking about him on Christmas, my grand puppy was here, he's about the same age as buddy. So glad he is the picture of health. Please keep us posted. He was adorable as a puppy, he grew up to be a handsome dog.

janedee 01-03-2011 10:04 PM

hes turned into a very handsome dog and is obviously very loved

auntiehenno 01-04-2011 12:02 AM

Buddy you are so handsome. Hugs to you!!

tlrnhi 01-04-2011 10:53 PM

What a happy pup! And why wouldn't he be? He's got you and Mark to love on him. He's got the horse to make friends with, but why should he when he's got Mark wrapped around his paw. lol
What a great dog you have there.

Happy and handsome, thanks for the update...He certainly is a beautiful boy. His relationship with Mark sounds like the one my husband has with our Malamute x, Lucatoni...I call them the "dynamic duo". When my husband is home, that dog is his shadow.

Beautiful boy and what a ham!!! Yeah, my 2 "mutts" and my
2 grand doggies (3 boys, 1 girl) all roll over to have their belly rubs, not spoiled at all!!

Karla, wanted to let you know that I went back and read every page of what you have been through with Buddy and Rosie, I
would have fallen apart on the 1st thing with Buddy. You are a wonderful, loving person. And a fantastic photographer, I have seen your flower ones at your dad's and loved them! And the
wedding was beautiful.

Buddy sure is a handsome dog, such a pretty color. All animals deserve a good, warm and loving home. Lucky Buddy and lucky Family.

:D Gosh this boy looks wonderful! He is a good looking & very healthy looking dog. I am also happy that he is so loved by your DH. It was just meant to be for him to come live with you.

craftyone27 01-13-2011 04:39 AM

After seeing your new avatar pic, I went back and read Buddy's whole story. It's hard to believe you all had such a terrible time and so many health issues when he was a puppy. Today he is a big, beautiful, happy boy!! He is lucky to have you and I'm sure you feel the same about him.

NCquilter 01-13-2011 05:41 AM

I'm glad that Buddy has found someone nice like you. He looks so happy to be there!

BTW, love the snow mustache! Adorable pics

Was he sniffing or trying to eat some? How does he react to snow? Inquiring minds want to know! :D

Buddy LOVES the snow!! He loves to barrel through drifts and drive his nose into inches to sniff around. He's a bruiser. He's outside all day, even in this cold 20* weather, but he has a shed right off the back of the house to be in with a dog door in the door--and 1 foot of chopped hay/straw inside. When I get home from school, I bring him in, feed him and then he usually snuggles in his well blanketed crate for a snooze. But, as soon as I head out for horse chores, he comes along. Then when Mark heads out later for his chores--Buddy is right there. He loves being outside. :-D

If it gets really cold, we're going to have him stay in his inside crate for the day, but we know he'd prefer to be out. He stays in his crate all night.

Very lucky dog. My husband never was allowed and never wanted any pets in the house ever. He said he would divorce me if I got a dog. Well that didn't work, ofcourse I got a dog. I just made sure I got one that is what they call "hypoallergenic" so he couldn't have any reason to complain. She never sheds and has no dander. So no allergies (hehe) And I take care of the feeding and grooming (ugh grooming every two months of haircuts). But now after all of the mad hubby he came home the first night and laid on the floor with her. Needless to say, he loved her instantly. Men, they think they are tough....we know better. So now we have a dog, a pet worm and pet fiddler crabs. Funny thing is the crabs and worms are in the kitchen. His uptight family thinks we are crazy. hehe. Of course I am I just hide it well.
Glad to hear you were able to help such a great dog. :-)
