diy! Purchase 4 or 5 programable electric timers.
#1--hook up to a recording of distant rooster crows followed by robin calls and songs. #2--set the next one to engage after the robins and turn on a 15 watt bulb lamp. #3-- ditto 100 watts. #4--heat lamp focused on your head #5--if necessary, the sounds of garbage cans clanging, motorcycles gunning, screams, shots, running footsteps or a recording of spike jones and the city slickers' rendition of "cocktails for two." good luck. |
I second the light-on-a-timer idea, and also suggest you move your alarm clock across the room, so you have to get out of bed to turn the darn thing off. That's what I ended up doing.

Get one of those alarm clocks that rolls away after you hit the snooze.
I used to have one that was shaped like a baseball. USED TO are the key words. I hit my roommate with it one morning when it went off. I'm following this thread. I'm also interested in the alarm clocks that mimic sunrise. |
Yes, I have one. Since I retired I don't use it anymore, but I liked that it came on gradually, like the sunrise. It didn't just "pop on". I would think using a timer would put the lamp straight on full?
