once again we're at the time of year when my alarm clock makes an annoying noise well before Mr. Sun has glinted through my window to tell me it's time my part of the earth wakes up.

I NEED an alarm clock that either lights my room, or pushes my lazy sleeping butt out of bed. My husband is quite adept at kicking me, but useless if the old bugger falls asleep on the sofa!!

Does anyone have an alarm clock that mimic's sunrise? I've been looking online all night for reviews and it seems the only one's I can find are those provided by sellers of that particular alarm clock. I found a few others, but not really what I would call useful.

They're not cheap alarm clocks. So any reviews will help.

Thanks

DIY! Purchase 4 or 5 programable electric timers.

#1--hook up to a recording of distant rooster crows followed by robin calls and songs.

#2--set the next one to engage after the robins and turn on a 15 watt bulb lamp.

#3-- ditto 100 watts.

#4--heat lamp focused on your head

#5--if necessary, the sounds of garbage cans clanging, motorcycles gunning, screams, shots, running footsteps OR a recording of Spike Jones and the City Slickers' rendition of "Cocktails for Two."

Good luck.

Yes the timer...like the one they sell at christmas timr for the tree.
A friend hooked it up to a lamp, so the lamp would come on in the morn.

I agree with using a timer. Used to do that very thing before we retired. A very pleasant way to wake up

Get one of those alarm clocks that rolls away after you hit the snooze.

I used to have one that was shaped like a baseball. USED TO are the key words. I hit my roommate with it one morning when it went off.

Was thinking of the timers also. These can also be used if you go on vacation to make it look like somebody is home.

I think I need one, too.

I use a timer on the living room lamp - it gives enough light back to the bedroom to wake me up.

There is a webpage on how to make an LED sunrise lamp: http://www.instructables.com/id/A-su...amp-with-LEDs/

I don't have any good advice for an alarm clock. BUT, if you were not so far away I would loan you my Labrador Retriever, Lonesome. He always knows when it is time for me to get up. Believe me when you have an 85 pound Lab pounding you on the back at 5:30am in the morning with his big
big webbed feet, you have no choice but to get up.

have a sunrise clock and I love it. I can't hear the alarm so I use mine when ever I have to get up very early in the a.m. Is starts gentle and then it gets brighter like the sun does. I found mine at the Goodwilla couple of years ago for $5.00

I love my clock...HAve a great day, Huggies, Fay
