The class action has been awarded $12,500,000. $300 is the maximum amount you can receive. The $12,500,000 will be divided by the number of legitimate claims. 12,500,000/300 is 41,667. So if more than 41,667 people file a claim, the award amount will be reduced.

I was wondering about that. Usually that's how those class action lawsuits work. I got $13 once from a class action lawsuit. They take the attorneys' fees and court costs off the top, then split what's left among the claimants.

I always get Ashley and she won't shut up long enough to tell her to take me off the list. I don't know how many times they have called and now it is showing up as a local call.

Wow! I found three of my cell numbers on the list. Thanks for the heads up. It's not about the money as much as the getting the point across about the robo-call nonsense.

So I take it this is legit? Call me paranoid, but I was afraid it was a way to collect phone #'s.

The Lawyers are the ones that come out ahead on most lawsuits. I would not get involved because I think lawyers have enough money. I don't plan to help them.

I get a local number as well but I now realize it's a recording. When I got really angry and raised my voice nothing happened. My son told me it was a recording haha
Very annoying though especially when it comes up as a local area code.

Does anyone else get calls from "Heather" from account services? There is even a button given to push to no longer get calls, but it doesn't work. She just keeps calling.

Don't answer if you don't recognize the number. I learned sometime ago that scammers have learned to use the area code and the first three digits of your number, whether land line or cell line, to make it appear legitimate. If you don't answer, usually no message is left.

I"ve done claims for class action lawsuits in the past. I never got much, but I'd get $50 or $100 for filling out a 10 minute form and never had any problems afterwards. The lawyers get paid from the lawsuit money not individuals in this case. I dont' mind them making money if I get some for doing very little.

Jingle 08-20-2017 09:14 PM

The lawyers get their money up front, before other people get theirs. If I don't know the number I don't answer.
