We lost power due to ERCOT three times yesterday. But I wonder why there would be a shortage or why they have to do this now because when we have over 100 degrees and everyone is using their air conditioning to stay cool they don't have to conserve energy then, unless our heating draws more energy. I don't think it would draw more. My DH said that they were doing it to conserve all the electricity because the super bowl is on Sunday and Dallas has been hit pretty hard with snow and ice. DH may have a point!!!

we have been hit with it. glad it doesnt last long. wish i had an oxigen machine that would run with out electricity. i hate winter.

global warming usually comes before an ice age. think of it more as "climate change" then global warming.

We had rolling black outs in San Antonio, too. Heard on the radio that it was due to some power facilities have FROZEN PIPES! Here's your sign..........

Hey renee765..I live in Schertz..didn't know I had a QB member so close! Crazy weather for us...huh? Closed our town down completely..
