He laughed, he cried, he kept saying "oh you" and just enjoyed himself terrifically at his first ever birthday party. He was so tired that he didn't open gifts or cards until Sunday morning and that was more and more laughter. I did get pictures of him opening cards and packages, he was so awed that so many of you sent him cards. (Have I told you how terrific all of you are?)

Thank you for helping me to give him a great memory! Hugs and kisses!

The smile on his face brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad he enjoyed himself, even if he did get tired!! Loved the cake. You are one wonderful woman Sharon.

He's heard me talk about y'all so much, he knew who you were. He kept shaking his head and saying "for me?" He wouldn't let me open the candy either, I have to wait till he's ready. He takes it right out of my hands when I pick it up.

I was heartbroken that I couldn't put up all the pictures I printed for him. I went back to his mama holding him as a baby and printed pictures of him all through his life, had them mounted and was going to hang them in the trees so that folks could walk along and review his life with him (even printed pictures of first wife and his son with him)

I don't feel special, I just wanted him to have some great memories before the end comes. He's happy and it's the best I could give him now.
