I would be Leary of any work
at home jobs you can take classes in transcribing medical documents I think that is one I would go for.

ging10ging 09-01-2012 04:43 PM

Your right it sounds suspicious. Sue

auntpiggylpn 09-01-2012 04:47 PM

Why would any company have their employees accept payments for them??? That is just crazy and is indeed a scam.

davisp 09-01-2012 04:50 PM

Here's a site that is legitimate. allstayathome.com

grannie cheechee 09-01-2012 04:51 PM

Scam. Why would they keep saying in your country USA? Probably someone pays by check, and you have to put it in your bank, and send them the money fast before the bank finds out the check isn't any good. Hope your daughter finds something else. Good Luck to her.

mosquitosewgirl 09-01-2012 04:55 PM

Have her check with the Secretary of State office in her state....they will know if it is legit.

jeank 09-01-2012 04:58 PM

even the language used sounds like the writer didn't learn English in the USA. They indicate that they are not in the USA by the term "your good country".

You probably (I cant know for sure) get the check, cash it, send them their share, then you learn the check is no good. Guess who is out the money.

Or the person sending the check is ok, but they do not receive the goods they are paying for and guess who they come after. You got their money and are the only person they report about the fraud.

Prism99 09-01-2012 05:06 PM

It's definitely not something I would sign up for, as it sounds like a scam to me. Here's a website with ideas for making money from home:
http://www.moneycrashers.com/ways-make-money-from-home/
I'd say the call centers sound like the most reliable.

bubble951 09-01-2012 05:24 PM

NOTE............No name of business or contact address or telephone (Red Flag). That is so you can not report to your state's Attorney General's office. (This is the department that will verify and/or will check on a business's authenticity.

mltquilt 09-01-2012 05:49 PM

Sounds like a scam.

Jill 09-01-2012 07:30 PM

Scam. I hope your daughter finds a job, but I wouldn't dream of replying to that.

quiltingcandy 09-01-2012 07:42 PM

What do they want her to do? i would certainly investigate a lot further than that e-mail. I would question who would hire a person in the US to do their work when we (the US) have out sourced so much of our work? Our hourly minimum wage is a daily rate in other parts of the world. So my first thought is this is scam.

icon17 09-01-2012 07:49 PM

!!!!bogus!!!! Scam!!!

cathyvv 09-01-2012 07:59 PM

SCAM. She'll get big seemingly notarized checks, cash them, take her $700 out of the total, and then send the balance to their company 'regional warehouse'. Then the bank she cashed the check at will notify her that the check, although cashed, was fraudulent and had no funds behind it. She will have to make good on the check.

Tell her to just think about the entire proposition for a couple of minutes. IF there is a company that needs to transfer money to their 'regional warehouse', why doesn't the company use conventional means like transfering the money between banks, using their company credit line, etc. The reason they don't is that the company doesn't exist, the funds are non-existent, the check is bogus. When someone falls for the scam, the scammer gets the check amount minus $700 at the address they said to forward the money to - no risk. And the person who cashed the check and took the $700 can be prosecuted by the bank for fraud.

I sure hope your daughter did NOT get involved with this. Please suggest to her that she get her information off that web site - she will be bombarded with offers like this. It might be too late already... There is also the possibility that she will unwittingly download a virus or spyware that will strip personal information off of the computer - hers, yours or anyone else who uses it and use it for identity theft or other fraudulent purposes.

ione 09-01-2012 11:41 PM

this sounds a lot like the scams I get from Nigeria, very vague, poor English and lots and lots of money! Run for your life.

rush88888 09-02-2012 03:36 AM

it's a scam. you receive bogus checks, and when you send part of the money, you would be out that money and be stuck with empty promises. just imagine getting many bad checks, cash them, send part of the money. at a later date, your bank will find out that the checks are bogus, and you are stuck holding the bag...and owe the bank! it's a scam!

ptquilts 09-02-2012 03:46 AM

Def. a scam. Cathyvv told it like it is. I got several of these when I was looking for a rental. They tailor the scam for all kinds of angles.

I agree. The language does not sound like it is coming from the USA. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is a scam.

Any one that refers to "your region", "your good country" is not of this country for one thing. For another, as proud as we are of our country we do not have to capitalize the words United States of America, (just the first letter of United, States, and America). Secondly, we are not a good country, we are the best country, and thirdly, when did we start referring to money as $3000.00 USD. That is so full of red flags, I can't believe anyone would ever ever consider anything like that. And, the final - The United States people are a heckuva lot smarter than they are. Edie

joyce j 09-02-2012 04:28 AM

I would also say SCAM. joyce j

crafty3236 09-02-2012 04:56 AM

this sounds like the scam that my daughter inlaw started to get into, when they wanted her to send cash n take her income out of it did we figure out it was a scam!! the police were notified but the next week the add was there again ..it is a shame what people do .

deneldacoop 09-02-2012 05:16 AM

SCAM...Check it out qith SNOPES or URBAN LEGENDS. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY. They will send you bogus cheques from "customers" that you deposit to your account and you send them thier portion. Problem is, the cheques you deposited are not good ones and by the time the bank has notified you of that it is too late to recoup your money.

lillybeck 09-02-2012 05:16 AM

Stay away from this. It just screams scam. If they are wanting their companies to get money why can't they just send it to them?

Scraps 09-02-2012 05:45 AM

PLEASE let us know your daughter did not fall for this -------------- wishing her the best.

Grace MooreLinker 09-02-2012 05:51 AM

sure sounds fishy to me, I get these kind of e mails alot, they are tagged scam in my files.

damaquilts 09-02-2012 06:10 AM

Scam!... My DD has been downsized at least 4 times in the last 3 yrs. She is done.. She has started finding small jobs here and there by word of month. Last month it was organizing a warehouse( she was in warehouse work for the other companies) for a guy who buys and sells from garage sales and storage units. She has a couple of cleaning jobs in apartments. She turnkeyed one of the other apartments in the house she lives in. She does her own hours and doesn't do to bad money wise. Little things that most people wouldn't think of doing. Pet sitting if she is into animals depending on her age of course.

AllAboutScraps 09-02-2012 06:30 AM

Scam...........just the improper use of English would raise alarms for me, but as bubble951 points out there is no business name or contact address. BIG red flag.

jbj137 09-02-2012 06:41 AM

Yes, it is a SCAM.

Sounds like money laundering to me . I wouldn't touch it .

catmcclure 09-02-2012 08:03 AM

YES, that is a scam. They ask you to take checks (forged), cash them and send them a portion of the money - you keep some ($700). What happens is that the person here in the states ends up having cashed umpteen dollars worth of forged checks and has to reimburse the bank for ALL the money (plus gets hit with criminal charges sometimes).

karate lady 09-02-2012 08:17 AM

the first clue to a scam is the strange wording in these ads. The english does not flow.. is spotty. What is an ATTESTATION? "your good country of the ...." sounds weird to me. This to me is obviously a scam. Report it and stay away....IMHO.

SCAM! I think I've posted legitimate WAH companies here before - I made a very good supplemental income for many years with some of the legitimate companies, until I could no longer work for health reasons (can't speak for very long anymore)

Up North 09-02-2012 09:23 AM

There was one of these just reported from the county next to us. IT IS A SCAM

MaryMo 09-02-2012 09:24 AM
