ROL! I'd heard sea salt was healthier....so I bought some. I'm hooked on it!! It takes LESS for me to salt my eggs....and the taste is different, I don't care what they say. I also cannot ingest much iodine...I have to buy salt without the iodine and sea salt fits that bill.

fun2quilt 04-27-2010 03:40 PM

Just remember, if you are algeric to shell fish, don't eat sea salt.
I only buy sea salt, been hooked on it for more years than I can count. Started with with it because it was supposed to be healthier. Now just don't care, just like it best!!

raptureready 04-27-2010 03:47 PM

I use both. Sometimes I need the iodine sometimes not so much sodium. BTW Marsye, you're looking mighty chipper today---that wrinkle cream is really working. LOL

I really don't know if one is healthier than the other, but like another member said...your new avatar indicates it probably doesn't matter much LOL.

Have you been sucking lemons? You are so funny...I love your posts

Salt is salt. Even mined salt came from the sea at one time. The trace minerals can be different and give salts slightly different flavors. The size and type of crystals also gives salt different intensities.

I'm up late cause I couldnt sleep so thought I'd check the forum. You people are cracking me up! Marsye, I don't know where you come up with all your avatar pics but they certainly are conversation starters. Oh, and yes, you and your brother do have a strong family resemblance. Were you the one who poked his eye out?

Probably with her cigarette. I definitely see family characteristics. Is he younger? older? twin?

Yup! Exactly what did you expect anyway?????

I have both kinds of salt in the house. I use regular iodized salt for baking and sea salt for everything else. It's true that you need less sea salt than regular.

trupeach1 04-28-2010 02:22 PM

I was reading Fitness magazine this morning and they had an artical about sea salt vs table salt. There is no difference health wise however sea salt is saltier so you use less which reduces your sodium intake.
