Sometimes we have other helpers. 1,200 to 1,400 kids can get exposed to many booths. All in one day. Great fun and chaos.

Hi Leonf, the machine was a Featherweight 221. Had it checked over by a Singer repairman and all it needed was a new belt. Beautiful machine

I have 2 Featherweights one black and one white that I use all of the time. Right now I am doing the Featherweight Shop's BOM which is the Farm Girl Vintage blocks. They have a good stitch and are light enough to carry where ever I go to quilt.

I have 2 Featherweights and one handcrank. I love my Janomes, but the FWs are so light and portable and sew like a charm!

Yep, see my signature area, this is the place that got me started. I have added a White Wilson treadle. The fun for me besides using them all is the cleaning up and polishing them, and enjoying the decals. Love them all. The Lotus is a hand crank, and the Phoenix is a treadle in a beautiful original cabinet.

Would a featherweight handle thick layers very well?

last I counted, I have over 150 of the darn things. But I prefer to sew on my new machines.
