Maybe they are picking up our bad habits??

if she is a young cat, she might not have milk enough for them, or she might sense that they are sick....they don't just abandon their young for now reason...something is wrong and she knows it!

That sounds like the problem right there. She is too young, I wouldn't condemn her to the cat prison or the Non Mom day card club just yet.

Sometimes if kittens are really ill or something is wrong with them the mom knows and will stop taking care of them. I've even seen them pushh certain ones out of the litter

Oh so sad. We took in a neighborhood mama cat who kept bringing her kittens into our backyard at night. she took them back across the street during the day. my hubby said he was a third kitten but i never did. We now have three indoor cats! mama (who I take outside on a leash and sit and walk her) and her two girls who look like their father who lives up the street. Lovely cats all!!

Awwww so cute. My daughter did something similar. Found 4 baby kitties (no mother in sight) they were on ly 1-2 weeks old. She hand fed them 24-7 and still has all of them. Those kitties used to suckle on her neck (I think they thought she was their mama. They would literally climb up her pants leg to do it. Thank god for the people who love animals and would do anything to help and protect them.

AWWWWWW! I'd take those little sweeties in a heartbeat. Little kittens are so precious. Poor babies!

We brought up two who were left on my office's doorstep one summer. Tiny, cute little things. The earlybird secretary volunteered me, and I accepted. I think the vet had some formula for them, and mostly my teenagers brought them up and somehow we found homes for them too. They were precious.

We had a dog once who was not interested in her puppies. We would put her in the box with them and she would reluctantly let them nurse and she would give them a cursory lick here and there. Then I guess as soon as she felt relieved, out of the box she would go. She was of the right age and lived inside with us, but had no maternal instincts. All the puppies were fine and went to good homes. My mother kept one of them.

Poor little kitties. They are adorable.
