I thought soe of you who have never been to a pow wow would enjoy these pics. look at those costumes!!!!
those headdresses were so beautiful and colorful, and they used realfeathers and white deerskin leather. so pretty looking.

Those are great pictures. I remember going to a PowWow when I was a child I was fascinated by all the costumes, I think I wanted to be an Indian for a while :-)

Long way from home.
The first two look like local Oklahoma tribes, and the last ones are Aztec dancers. Have seen some of the Aztecs dance at the Intertribal Pow-wow at Gallup, NM
My son used to be a hoop dancer when he was young. My family has members of several tribes. Lot of work goes into making the dance costumes.
