Oh my gosh I am having such a hard time finding shoes for this job, I don't understand as I have worked retail for over 30 years, took a break for two years to work at a bank, miserable experience by the way, anyways, I guess that I am older has an impact on my feet, knees, and legs in general, any suggestions for shoes, that will not cost me an arm and leg ... Thank you
Sandy

My sister works retail and she has about half a dozen shoes at work. She has to change them throughout the day. I feel bad for her b/c her feet kill her! I would suggest getting the best shoe you can afford. Cheap shoes will not serve you well.
Good luck!! :D

good shoes are worth the investment. Don't cheap out if you can help it. Naots work well for me.

I've been wearing this shoe for 10 yrs, I'm on my 2nd pair. (first ones lasted 8 yrs) My job is 100% on my feet & these are the only work shoes I've had that has never hurt my feet. They run about $70

When I worked retail, and running the floor at a casino, I wore high impact areobic shoes...they're made to cushion and were the best thing I tried!

crocks are ugly and cheap (under 20 dollars), but I can stand and walk in them all day long (that's got to by why chef Maria Viatale wears them on "Iron Chef")

I have a bad back (broke when I was 31, paralyzed my leg, put back together with 2 rods and a triple fusion, fine now.) and I wear earth shoes. the real ones, not the Walmart ones. I think they are the reason that I only use my cane a couple of times a year, instead of a couple of times a month. The heels are lower than the toes, which feels weird at first, but it helps your back and legs.

i buy them on eBay- Many people buy than at full price (Ugh!) and then don't wear them, so it's easy to find barely used ones for not a lot of money. These shoes retail for about $130.00 and I usually pay less than 30. Plus, I love mary janes, and they have lots in that style.

Good luck!

If style isn't an issue, I've been wearing Sketcher's Shape-ups lately and they have really helped my legs, et. Pricey but worth it.

I would suggest those insoles - some have gel but I use those and use one for heels too. They really work well for me. Also, invest in a good pair of shoes that fit well like birkenstocks or good tennis shoes.
