Silk tie pillows

I've been collecting silk ties for a long time and had some that were pretty special -- belonged to a gentleman I used to take care of-- he passed away, his wife (for 68 years) sure misses him. Her birthday is the end of the month, I used his ties to make her pillow for her birthday.

My idea, for making them, just ( winged it, without knowing what I was going to do) the woven one I started with a piece of batting, then a background fabric on top of that, then I laid out ties horizontally, pinning both ends, wove the vertical ties, pinning each end. Then I took it to the machine & stitched all the way around.

I think both of them are just as classy as they can be. I love both of them. You did good!

I love how you wove the skinny ends of the ties! Great pillows!
