Does anyone know of a painless home method to remove skin tags? I tried the clear fingernail polish and it didn't work. I know you can cut them off or tie dental floss or a thread around the base and cut the blood flow off to them, but I'm not looking for pain. I asked my doctor about removing them and he said don't worry about them, they don't hurt anything.

wart remover but that stuff burns when it gets on your skin so it may on a tag too

Mine said the same thing. Too bad he doesn't have any, lol. Don't have a remedy, but they sure can be ugly.

I had one burned off and now have a solid white mark where it use to be. Would rather have kept the skin tag!

I had one removed from DD#1 before she started school (kindergarten) and to this day she remembers the buzzing of burning (she is now 32). It was in front of her ear. The doctor suggested it so that the kids would not make fun of her.

I disagree with your doctor. Depending on where they are they can be very annoying or irritating. My Mom had some removed that bothered her when wearing certain clothes etc.

My DD had hers "frozen" off by the doctor

I had a couple small-ish ones on my side; I cut them off with a pair of cuticle nippers.... they bled like crazy , but that was 5 years ago & they haven't come back.

My skin Dr froze them on my face and did not hurt, even one under my eye and I noticed the darkness under the eye was now gone too. Had a little ball like thing between my eyes and he cut that out after numbing it and so much better non cancerous thank goodness.

Went to the dermatologist and he removed three small ones on my neck. He burned them off and I have no scar at all.
