it's snowing. my poor Althea bushes are touching the ground again. my neighbors lovely tree is full of snow now rather than golden leaves. the other day i watched as the wind blew leaves off that tree to the ground. it was a lovely sight.
snow is a lovely sight but it lasts way toooo long for me these days.

Crqltr 10-26-2011 06:30 AM

to much way to soon!!

quiltingcandy 10-26-2011 06:31 AM

Wonderful picture. I miss snow living here in Southern California, but not having to deal with it.

QuiltnNan 10-26-2011 06:31 AM

You are right on both counts. It's very pretty, it makes everything look so clean. But I don't want to start yet... March/April is just too far away. Thanks for the pic.

blueangel 10-26-2011 06:31 AM

I am not ready for that.

alikat110 10-26-2011 06:33 AM

Wow...i love it....wish I had snow here.

Quilting Dreamer 10-26-2011 06:34 AM

Agreed, way too soon! They are predicting we may get some as well tomorrow afternoon and things are looking VERY iffy for this weekend. All depends if the moisture is out to sea or not when the cold front moves in. If the moisture is not far enough east they are predicting up to 4". It won't last though.

lovingmama 10-26-2011 06:39 AM

I'm not ready for this kind of weather, but you are able to do the nice snow dyeing with your fabric.

I've seen it on the board last year, it had a wonderful effect on the fabric.

Found the link! ;-)

Very pretty, but you can have it. I am not ready yet lol.

Connie in CO 10-26-2011 06:41 AM

When my kid were growing up it was nice until Halloween.
Is it Spring yet?

chairjogger 10-26-2011 06:41 AM

I am so not ready for snow.. :-( Closer to thanksgiving time please .

Helovesme 10-26-2011 06:43 AM

I heard that Colorado was under a winter storm warning all day today! It sure looks beautiful!

SouthPStitches 10-26-2011 06:46 AM

Booo hisss. Too much, too soon. Weatherman is predicting wet slushy snow tonight and tomorrow in my neck of the woods (central New York). Bring out the quilts and hot chocolate!

MIJul 10-26-2011 06:48 AM

Beautiful - I can't wait for it to come to Michigan! Snowmobiling, skiing, sledding and making snowmen with the grandkids.... I LOVE winter!!! :-)

leatheflea 10-26-2011 07:23 AM

Thats it I'm reporting you to the moderators for using such a dirty word as "snow"....Shame on you! LOL

amandasgramma 10-26-2011 07:31 AM

My son and his family just moved to Littleton 2 weeks ago!!! We were supposed to help them move but that didn't work out. They wanted us to "drop by" on our way back from Yuma 2 days ago --- sure glad we didn't!!!!

Connie in CO 10-26-2011 07:40 AM

I'm going to pray to the snow gods to come get both of you...

Painiacs 10-26-2011 07:41 AM

Beautiful!! But too early for me yet!!

Vivian Ketron 10-26-2011 07:59 AM

Oh my goodness. I'm not ready for that yet. Hope it stays up north.

ME TOO!!! ME TOO!!!! in SE Ohio Love it!

Mad Mimm 10-26-2011 08:12 AM

Oh my, what a pretty picture. I don't have snow where I live, just frost in the morning and then cold, clear, sun with some clouds. FYI that is very unusual for this area. We should be socked in under rain clouds and being pelted with rain for the next 6 months! Oh well, it just means that you don't have to garden so there is more time to quilt!

Willa 10-26-2011 09:03 AM

Thanks for sharing your picture. I love seeing snow right after it falls it's so clean looking and trees sparkle. Going out and scooping and driving in it though is a whole different story. Enjoy the sight but be careful when out in it.

Melrose R 10-26-2011 09:13 AM

Brrrr! I'm chilled just looking at your beautiful photo. Predicted 75 here today.

Crafty Darlene 10-26-2011 10:02 AM

Wow! Sure is beautiful! Wish we could have some of that for the Holidays!

Honeynga 10-26-2011 10:05 AM

As much as I love snow, it is way too early. Here in West Ga it is in the mid 70's today; I've got windows open and enjoying the beautiful weather..on Friday of this week the high is only going to be in the 60's......sounds like I'm whining, but I'm not, there is a reason I live in this part of the country !

nativetexan 10-26-2011 12:14 PM

you know, ya'll could come over and help me trim tree limbs! I trimmed some limbs off the crab apple tree in the backyard mainly so they wouldn't be right over the gutter. Well the snow is so wet and heavy, more limbs were laying right on the electrical lines to the house.
I had to put my boots on and get out there with a broom. yep, snow in my hair now. I also got the long metal pole with a saw on the end for trimming tree limbs. got one cut off but the others are too skinny and the branches keep moving. i will have to get a ladder to trim those after the snow is gone.
a neighbor came and shoveled my 3 car driveway. he was only asking "donations" toward a new winter jacket he needs. So i gave him $20.00. He now says he will be back! of course. But still, I"m happy. after that trekking through the snow and getting my hands frozen, i welcome any help.
so come on ya'll, I'm a waitin!!

cjfquilts 10-26-2011 12:18 PM

Looks like my house! We have about 8 inches!

Teddybear Lady 10-26-2011 12:47 PM

Wow! I'm not ready for anything like that. Here in the South, it's turning colder and the leaves have changed to their beautiful colors and some are beginning to fall.

wanda lou 10-26-2011 02:08 PM

beautiful, I love snow.

Gramof6 10-26-2011 02:27 PM

Gorgeous!!! Perfect weather to stay in with some hot drinks and handwork or hand quilting. Not such perfect weather if you do have to be out in it. I love a good snowfall and always anxious for us to finally get one.

PWinston 10-26-2011 02:33 PM

Much too early for that much snow, even in Colorado. We need more fall weather.

nativetexan 10-26-2011 02:50 PM

shoot, i went out and looked at the damage in the backyard. there was a huge weed tree the telephone company cut half off of. well the other half couldn't take the snow and i got three huge branches that came down on our fence (it's that wire type fence) and one branch off my crab apple tree. I know what i will be doing in the coming days! i trimmed some branches held down by the snow while i was out there. more snow down my neck.
My mama cat loves the snow. she jumps in it and digs and jumps and digs. then when all wet she wants back in the house. She is no help at all!

dbries 10-26-2011 02:50 PM

Oh! I am not ready for this. We will have our share soon enough.

Murphy 10-26-2011 04:32 PM

That is so beautiful in your yard (smile). Hope not to see it in my yard very soon. Thanks for sharing the beauty of nature.

PuffinGin 10-26-2011 05:19 PM

Yup, beautiful to look at. Nope, don't send it my way. Didn't feel that way when I wasn't responsible for both outdoor and indoor maintenance of my home. Not ready -- still have mower deck on my lawn tractor and it'll be a while before I can get help to put snowblower on.

tuesy 10-26-2011 05:58 PM

Ooh nooo!! I'm on the back side of ya, so we won't get that storm thank goodness, but I feel for ya. it's just to early for that much snow.. (any snow it's always to early for in my book)

bepositive 10-26-2011 06:26 PM

YIKES!!! We're supposed to get a little snow tomorrow. . . hopefully not as much as you got!!!
