It's snowing in Cheyenne. Big beautiful flakes which have begun to stick to the roofs and ground. We have had Indian Summer until just a couple of days ago but I so look forward to the first snowfall every yr.

leiladylei54 10-08-2011 07:24 AM

JuBee 10-08-2011 07:44 AM

I cringe to even think about snow again here in New Jersey...I have a very long driveway, 2 long wheelchair ramps, lots of sidewalks, etc...at 61 yrs OLD it is getting too much for me to do alone(my husband is unable to help)...Naomi

crafty pat 10-08-2011 09:42 AM

Would love to see anything wet. Had a few sprinkled for two days but not enough to help any.

QUILTNMO 10-08-2011 10:42 AM

im not ready for winter lol

patchsamkim 10-08-2011 11:08 AM

I so do not want to see any S*** until at least December...this is way too early to see any of the white stuff.
For today, it is about 80 degrees...way above the normal 60 something degrees we normally have this time of year...and I am enjoying it very much!

Don't you have it now? News said it was on San Francisco Peaks.

QKO 10-09-2011 06:08 AM

It snowed the other day in the mountains. Down here in the valley we had some sleet and rain.

The cooler crisp air of fall is here now, love it when it's in the 60's during the day. :)

crafty_linda_b 10-09-2011 08:11 AM

We had some sleet and hail the other day...we aren't ready for S*** yet either. DH still has 8 more cords of wood to cut. He cut 2 cords yesterday...we burn alot of wood during the winter. Sure saves on the heating fuel which is about $4 a gallon right now. I love having a white Christmas but the S*** can wait a few more weeks to show up. My DD always comes up at Thanksgiving to cut her Christmas tree. She told me the other day she wants 3' of snow then. I told her she was insane..if we get 3' of snow they will close the road and she won't be able to get up here *L* She is a blond..'nuff said. crafty_linda_b

Rann 10-09-2011 09:19 AM

And we are still hitting the 90's in south GA.

luce321 10-09-2011 10:21 AM

I heard on the news yesterday that Colorado had their first snowfall, I live in Louisiana.

MargeD 10-09-2011 10:28 AM

Well, I'm happy that you are happy for the snow, but personally, I'd love it if it didnt' snow until Christmas Eve, just a light dusting and only light snow showers all the rest of winter. Get the feeling I'm not a big fan of snow? I'm not, especially driving in it, but living in New England, there will be snow.

Okay, I was thinking Americas Thanksgiving. Would be nice if there is snow in the mountains by then. The ski lodges around here sometimes end up not having any till mid to late December. They love a November opening and my nephew needs to get to work.
The one good thing about living in the valley. We rarely get snow on the valley floor.
