Very ingenious for toting heavy items! What's in the bottom that holds it so firm?

It says to use a heavy piece of cardboard or thin board, but I used some 1/4" foam board and it works fine. I just covered it with fabric and stapled and then glued down the overhang to the back of the board.

I have one like that, but without the ends, made of canvas and use it to carry logs in for the fireplace. It's much easier for me to maneuver than that big tub thing DH uses.

Those are beautiful. I love the polka dots.

Thankyou!! This is just what I needed for a Christmas Present!! I can do a small one for a designer purse and the large for a matched set!! You saved me!!!

I am making a bag to hold a 21" flat screen monitor for my husband to take to do demos for his business....I wonder if the foam board would be strong enough, or I need to keep searching....

I'm not sure. I know I read a post by one woman on here who used an old cutting mat, cut to size, in the bottom of her bags. Another uses several layers of plastic canvas and others use a thin board called Luan that's sold at all lumber yards.
