I am with you on that! The style was so classic and elegant. The fit was so perfect, with all that movement, there were no "costume malfunctions" (at least if there was, it was not glamorized).
Thank you for the memories.

glorcour 10-15-2012 05:51 AM

I actually remember some of those clips from the movies and they are so good set to disco. The more things change, the more things stay the same. Loved it and sent it on to others who will love it as well. Thanks for sharing.

I miss seeing "real " talent. My DIL is 38 yrs old and she watches all these musicals on Netflix the only "new" shows she watches are Greys Anatomy and Bones..and all the Pixar type movies of course. She recently found a set of VCR tapes of the Jackie Gleason Show and was "blown away"by the June Taylor dancers.

fayeberry 10-15-2012 09:41 AM

99-Quilters Here!!

I will correct my wording..."And they Thought we did not know how to dance
in OUR Day" (not your day) that was a type-O)on my part.

I am from the Rita Hayward And Fred Astaire
days...I still watch and love all the old movies and songs
from those days...Rap does nothing for me...!!!!

I have watched it 4 times and will see watch it again and again.
Thanks Again for Sharing.
