Adelaide decided it was time for a new beginning, she was fed up with being the dependable one the lonely old maid sister, she went to a travel agent and booked passage on a tramp steamer heading to Portugal. She packed her bags and left when none of her family could stop her, in the cab on the way to the dock she meets----- add your line here

Nigel, a tall and handsome man with that look in his eyes that makes you want to throw caution to the wind. It was clear that Nigel was headed on the same steamer. No words were spoken but each new this would be a trip of a lifetime.

She also meets her friend Sarina.Sarina was on her way to the dock also. Adelaide ask Sarina why and where she was going once they reached the dock and Sarina told her that she was sick and tired of washing, cooking, and keeping house for her father and 3 brothers. ----add your line here

"I am glad you decided to share this cab with me" said Nigel, as he glanced at her with eyes so blue like the ocean that they made her feel like she wanted to jump in. "I believe the fates have ordained that we meet." next line . . .

Nigel and Adelaide left the taxi together approaching the ship they were stopped by a man who reminded Adelaide of Peter Lorre even his voice was the same. In his hand was a letter he asked them to deliver the letter to the man standing at the top of the gangplank

But the man at the top of the gangplank looked menacing, even dangerous. Adelaide took the letter and passed it to her friend, Sarina. Sarina looked down at the letter in her hand, and written on the envelope were the words...

IRS Final Notice. Sarina, seeing that the man at the top of the gangplank was so menacing, decided to put the envelope in her pocket, and find a way to get it to him 'anonymously'. Nigel and Adelaide started to board the ship, when Nigel turned to Adelaide and said "...............

the fates have been kind to me with your appearance. I will speak with the captain and make sure we can have our meals together while we are on this wonderful adventure.".....

Adelaide was hesitant. What if he chewed with his mouth open, picked his teeth at the table or talked with is mouth full of food. Would she want to eat all her meals with someone like that? Finally she agreed.

Surely, someone as debonaire as this man would have manners. As they each left for their respective cabins, Adelaide realized that she didn't even know this man's name.

Then the light came on, Yes, Yes, it was Nigel. Adelaide gave a sigh of relief that she remembered Nigel's name. When she looked over at the man at the top of the gangplank she noticed he was talking to Peter Lorre..she went....

Dad!!! What are you doing here? You are suppose to be in witness protection because....

you worked for the IRS and the man that you put in the slammer for tax evasion has been released and has sworn revenge. you must.........

Put on your magic tights and cape and show him that you stand for "Justice and the American Way"......or......

Find the child you abandoned as a newborn and the wealthy grandmother who wants it back for a tax deduction.

Adelaide's father said to his daughter in a whisper "dearest go to your cabin and wait for my knock it will be twice then once then twice again" as she left her father turned to Peter and said "Hans will not like that she is on board"

"She knows Hans well, and I really hope that Hans will not push her overboard like he did his first 4 wives". He is here now because their life insurances have run out and he's looking for a new, rich wife".

As Nigel hid in the darkness under the stairs he listened the rheir conversation....vowing to himself that he would protect Adelaide at all costs.

But could Nigel really protect her? The forces of evil are all around them.....and Nigel has a secret......

And what about Sarina? What is her story?

Sarina's mother died as she was reaching her teenage years. She had to step in and take over all the household duties and became the family drudge. She finally decided to leave so she could start building a new life for herself. One with a handsome husband, money, and sometime in the future a family of her own.

Sarina and Nigel are sisters and he told her before as he has told her today....

You must live life according to your own inner voice...but just which one of Sarina's voices will she listen to?

Sarina's life was a patchwork quilt of missteps and wrong decisions. How was she ever going to sort this mess out?

just as with Adelaide, Sarina wanted to meet a man but as she stood on the deck watching the sunset several approached but she rebuffed them all until she heard a man shuffling his feet lightly across the deck. She turned and there stood the man she had dreamed about all her life, she floated into his arms, they began dancing slowly to the shipboard music. As they danced he began telling her the story of his life in Casablanca how he owned a small nightclub, told her of the beauty of Casablanca before the dread pirate Robert came to town and turned everyone to

frogs. all they needed was the kiss of a princess so they could once again become .......

Owners of a quilt shop which catered to the lonely, the travelers and the people searching, yes searching for that perfect fabric to finish that quilt that had been started oh so long ago. However.......

Business had been tough lately. Due to poor economy people just weren't travelling as much, weren't buying as much. They had to come up with some way to make their shop profitable again. Would a new beautiful employee help? Or should they turn to something more devious? They were, afterall, at the point of desperation.

Suddenly the quilt shop people had a brainstorm - how about becoming a franchise of Favorite Frabics! After all, Favorite Fabrics has high quality fabrics, matched only by their customer service! But becoming a franchise would initially cost two million dollars, and to get this kind of money the quilt shop owner would have to.........

put up the money for Nigel to gamble in the back of Rick's cafe but the only problem was Claude Raines the police commander he liked to seduce pretty young things in order for them to get their papers to leave the country

Claude was a rascally old man, never met a pretty face or shapely body that he didn't like. He also never met an underhanded deal that he didn't try to cut himself in on. The gambling adventure would have to be discreet but could they keep it that way?

They did own the quilting franchise.

but the quilting franchise was in trouble because Imogene late one night went berserk with the rotary cutter and when people came in the next morning every piece of fabric had been cut into 2 inch squares and taped to the ceiling

After the horror of what Imogene had done and she had been hauled off the Belevue, The insurance people came in and began to appraise the situation. Everyone was very busy and didn't take notice of Sarah quietly studying the ceiling and making sketches after all what she saw that no one else did was..........

Sarah thought ... no ....could it be.. it was a pattern of some sort ...the pattern was turning out to be...secretly she thought ... thank God for all her hours spent at the sewing machine and quilt shops..the pattern was .....
