what do you do in the winter? and what do you do in the wells around the burners?

If you have any kind of bird - DO NO use oven cleaner or self cleaning oven, both will kill any bird in the house.

I learned later in life that the racks have to be removed before starting the self-cleaning oven. It ruins the shiny finish.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you..... for all the helpful hints. I think that I will try cleaning them in the self cleaning oven. They are not shiny or enamel so I think they will be all right. They sure can't get worse than they are now.
