SCAM. :( So sad what people resort too...

Murphy 06-02-2011 07:16 AM

It is a scam. I got one of these from one of my coworkers, but when i contacted them via phone they had no idea what was going on. Report it.

People can go to profiles and pick out names of people to scam to scam, please don't fall for it. The DA scammers know that quilters have big hearts, but we also have brains, this is a SCAM!

Looks as if someone has hacked Harriet's email, she needs to look into it. Happened to a guild member here and she had to clean up her computer, etc. Purplepassion, you should email or call her to let her know. I'm sure you know not to "reply" to that email or open any attachment assoc. with it.

Send a PM to Harriet - she probably will go "What the ---- " and then she will have to figure out where the problem is.

I got one from a member of this board - and she was stunned

I also got one from another friend of mine - and she was also stunned.

I have a clock on Craigslist and someone from NY emailed that they want it...That was a scam too I fear...if not I am not taking a chance.

Yes, scam, and it may not have anything to do with Harriet or her account. Spammers can insert ANYthing they want in the FROM line - my work email address used to appear online in many places and spammers used it all the time to send their garbage - sometimes even to me. LOL

It happens, I've had people from out of state contact me and ask if I'll ship items I've listed on CL. Just get the money via Paypal first. :)
