i just bought my first piece of monks cloth,and 2 skeins of yarn to try to make a baby blanket. i have until December for the new grandson to get here..so lots of time to check this out.

my friend told me to sew around the edges, then wash and dry it to preshrink the monks cloth. |
I have only seen it as a trim on dish cloths............my friend in Harrison Mi used to do it..........calla

I am slow getting started, but start I did!
Using variegated and Chocolate yarns...it is very relaxing... i don't need another hobby..but i like doing this. It will be a blanket for the Grandson due in December..i call him "Henry"..they can call him what they want!
