I often wonder what type of sweetner everyone uses; and what all do you use it for. Is it the pink, blue, yellow packet or good ole sugar (brown, granulated, or confectioner), syrup (corn, maple),or honey. Do you use it for drinks, cooking, and/or baking.
I use Splenda for drinks, cooking, and baking (most items) or brown sugar for baking. Jinnie |
I use sweet n low for coffee/tea and Splenda for cereal and baking

This is an interesting topic. My sister gave me a ticket to the fair this weekend, so I could go. I was totally fascinated in the ag building. This isn't new for some states like MO, but ID is finally using sugar beets to sweeten some products we product. I found out that there is a Pepsi being produced and quite a few different items.
I look forward to these postings because there are a lot of different sweeteners now, but I don't know much about the newer ones. |
Splenda is the sweetener of choice in our house. I do use some sugar when cooking and my spouse uses the 'pink' packets for coffee.
There have been some large changes to the way I cook in the past year. My spouse suffered with migraines very often and we just figured out what caused them, WHEAT. Now everything needs to be wheat-free. I make wheat-free everything - crackers, granola, bread, pizza... It's been a challenge but a headache free spouse is worth it. |
I use sugar for baking and sweet iced tea. I use honey for hot tea.

When I drink hot tea or coca I use Stevia. It is nautral and 0 in everything goes thought the body and out no harm to the body. It may take a couple days to get use to. Now they are making it so that you can cook with. I have not try that out but it is worth looking into.
