Don;t we all wish that times were still like that.

I remembersome of the laundry soap had kids books in them. It was so fun to "find" them!

Thanks for the memories.....also remember many others and I do believe the simplier times were the very best.

Bobbielinks 10-25-2010 06:14 AM

Oh, yes, how I remember them! The wonderful days!

I am 45 and still remember most of those things. I didn't realize then, but I had a wonderful childhood and equally wonderful parents.

I remember all of those and more! My DH reminded me the other day that when he was in grade school, it was a common practice for little boys to carry a pocket knife. No one thought anything of it. Can you imagine what would happen now?
It's a different world we live in now.

melslove 10-25-2010 10:41 AM

it was a simpler time back then with a lot less to worry about.

misseva 10-25-2010 11:12 AM

i remember all of them too. i also remember really high metal slides, teeter-totters and playing jacks on the sidewalk during recess AND boys & girls had separate playgrounds. and girls couldn't wear jeans to school unless it was very, very cold and you wore them under your dress, and union suits and long stockings, ugh!
