I do have to admit... the picture I got in my head...made me laugh..but then the thought made me think about a nasty date with Mr Ripper...

OMGoodness! I have a shutoff button on my vacuum. But yes sometimes you just get caught up in the moment. It happened to me and that's why I can LOL! I used my rotary cutter to cut the threads where I could then an exacto knife. DH LOL'd til he got the bill for me to replace my thread on his card. Then I LOL'd! That'll learn 'em! LOL!

To add to my post, I also bought couple more rotary blades.LOL

Thanks for the laugh! Hate when good intentions turn out poorly. Hope you get some sewing done and get to laugh at this! Can't shake the image from my head:)

thanks for the reminder that housework is dangerous for ones health. having that happen and having to cut all that thread couldn't be good for the blood preasure < LOL. that is now my story and i'm sticking to it.

Wow! My list keeps growing. Sorry it happened, but it sure gave me a good laugh.

Gosh, I can just picture that in my mind. Sorry, but it is too funny. At least it wasn't the dogs tail

I did this trick once but with yarn. After standing there looking horrified for far too long I finally hit the switch. Talk about a mess. My FIL was visiting at the time and several days later I was grumbling about how badly the vacuum worked and he piped up and said, " but it sure is good for winding yarn".

YUP, cleaning can be dangerous to our state of mine. Chalk it up to Murphy's Law and change projects at least temporarily.

Mimmis57 03-31-2013 08:22 AM

In my house, I'm not allowed to use the vacumn. My feeling is it should pick up anything I lead it to- kleenex, pieces of string, little bits of fabric and perhaps a wayward cat {not really, I wouldn't hurt my boys!} When it balks at my requests I hate to admit it but I say some BAAAAAD words!
