Guess I am just a little bummed out today. No help from any family, just the come over and sit down to eat kind. 12 or more coming over this afternoon(always a couple that don't let you know they are coming!) My mares' udders are filling.... still a few days off I think. I slept on the love seat last night so I could open one eye to look at them--sleeping. Man--I'm short, but that love seat is shorter. :roll:
My dentist appt has been canceled... next comes the biopsy appt--they can all wait. :wink: |

Just got back from the dr. I have an ear infection, eye infection and sinus infection. Geesh. I told her to give me the max amount of antibiotics LOL.
Our sons just have so many friends in and out of this house and I told them for now on if they even has a stuffed up nose they cannot come in! I cant wait to see Patches foal. Our first feature baby woohoo. How are you mares doing Karla? |
Oh shoot, Kay--I'm glad you went to the doc. I just finished a 5 day round and it made no difference, but you've got more going on than I did. :( Did she give you that one time pill to nip a yeast infection if you get one? I always get one with antibiotics--but didn't this time.
I just checked mares again... and their bags are slowly filling. Too slowly. They are in the "I should stay up to watch them just in case" phase. But the phase that seems to last forever. :? One had better show up before next Monday... I'd prefer it be Gypsy since she needs the most help. |

They gave me some big horse pill thing. Im a mess. Cant hear cant see cant smell :( Im hoping these eye drops work quick because my eyes are making me crazy. We were at a horse clinic sat at Getitias and when I came home hubby said you better check Patches because I dont think shes due in June. So I go running out and sure enough she has half a bag. Good thing hubby said something. Thats when I got to looking at dates and thinking man i screwed up royally. I suspect patches has about 2 weeks to go but as soon as I think shes fairly close she will be on cam. Sending good thoughts to you karla for easy uneventful foalings! Remember im only a phone call away if you need me |

Being sick is no fun, especially when you have foals due! Karla, I'm with you on those dreaded yeast infections. Peniclin (sp?) is the only one that does it to me, so I stay away from that stuff. I sure hope we get a foal from someone this week! Karla, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's Gypsy. |
I have an update on my icelandic mare Freyja,My husband went out to check on her at 2 in the morning easter morning,and there she was a little yellow dunn filly. So glad she fianl made it,she was due the 22 nd of March. We thought we would name her Paskalijli that means Easter Lilly in Icelandic language. Now as far as me knowing how to say it,thats another story..Haven't got any pictures yet,it has been raining seams like for two weeks.

I want to post pictures so bad,but just won't work when I try.I am on dial up my computer is so slow. Even to vew pictures takes them for ever to come up. But I will give it another try.

Update on mine--Gypsy (who is due first!) had a very soft bag this AM. Chloe's was firm! But--it all depends on what the udders do in the afternoon--soft--no go (oh but stay up to watch just in case!), hard--don't close your eyes! :shock: Today I've cleared out the stalls completely--mine are big--this is a job! Now I will wheelbarrow many loads of dirt into them and tamp it all down--then add shavings and straw. I do this every year since I have dirt floors... I love to play in dirt!! :D :D :D |

Well Ladies I took pictures today,but it is so muddy out she is so dirty but she posed for me a couple of times. I will try to get some posted. But I have never had any luck posting my quilts. If I can't figre it out maybe I can email to someone and you can put it on for me.Ha |

I have a question!
Why is it that the mares all have their baby during the middle of the night when I miss it? Missed another one last night M&J minis Pixie had her baby. So cute walking around this morning in it's little coat. |
Horse babies.. human babies... they all seem to come in the middle of the nite! LOL maybe it is so they can have their privacy :wink: Although Dancer was a sweetie and had hers in the late morning !
