And daffodils in Wales, fuchia in Scotland, plumeria in Hawaii, and fireweed in Alaska.

I visited Alaska 2 summers ago and the fireweed was in full bloom. Beautiful.

Thank you quiltykitty!! It gives me hope that spring is coming. I still have piles of snow 4 feet high in my yard and not a hint of a flower anywhere!! They don't call Canada the "frozen North" for nothing!!

Granny 5, That's a beautiful quilt in your Avatar . . . is there a pattern?

The sides of US 75 in Denison will be covered in Red Clover in a few weeks.

Really? I lived in the Austin area for 11 years---I WISH we had had humidity!

They probably lived near the coast. The humidity there is high and really bothers me when I visit. Course our humidity would seem high if people were used to the desert.

Makes me homesick.
Thanks for the pics.

See the beautiful blue sky with those puffy white clouds? My idea of a perfect Texas day.

BEAUTIFUL PICS of our wonderful State flower - Thanks for sharing. You're right, they are usually really good in the Brenham area. We didn't get the good rains we needed, so they're not as nice as some in the past have been.

Our Young @ Heart Bunch from church is going on a day trip this Sat thru the Hill country from Liberty Hill to the Llano area, so looking forward to seeing some good fields on the way.

You obviously found some great spots & LOVE the pics.

Have a blessed day
Shirley

Shirley, have you ever been to Wildseed Farms? They grow acres and acres and acres of wildflowers. It is simply beautiful when in bloom. Here's a link to their site.

And here's what is in bloom now

Also there is the Antique Rose Emporium in Independence, TX. Lots of antique roses. I've never been there.

Have fun on your trip.

Be sure to drive over the dam and go down to the generator site. That's where the bluebonnets are. If you go US 75 you will miss all the flowers

That looks like a perfect day anywhere. What beautiful flowers . I don't know if I could have torn my self away.
