One of the things that has kept me out of the local guild is that all the groups meet during the weekdays starting at 10 am. I work for a living in downtown Dallas.

I'm in Houston. And I know of at least three others in the Houston/Metro area, although we haven't met.

I think it would be fun for those who live in a common area to meet. There could be a Dallas group and a Houston and a Lubbock group, etc.
I belong to a sewing group now and we met on line on the sewforum boards. We met over three years ago for lunch and have been meeting every month since then, and we are going on our 5th retreat this month. We've all become very good friends.

I'm going to lay claim to both the Dallas area, closest to home, and the Houston area, closest to my daughter...that way I get to know even more of you.
