It's wonderful to hear your doing well and resting. You deserve a long rest - you have lots of quilts to make!

Be happy and enjoy it. We'll be here. :)

Hi SD,
Good to 'hear' from you. Please take it easy and one day at a time. Your poor body has been to h*** and back and you need to let it rest.
LOts of quilting sites, videos, You Tube, Vimeo, etc.
We would all be going crazy trying to rest and yet occupy our minds.
Take care and hugs.

Welcome back Shadow!! Take it easy for a while. I had my left knee replaced about 4 and a half years ago. Two days in the hospital and 7 days at a physical therapy center but those PT's got me back on my feet and walking. Glad you are back.

soniboo 12-01-2009 07:54 PM

You won't be bored forever, honest. Now it's still One Day At A Time but when you completely heal you'll be able to jump back in. So glad you're doing well and big (gentle) Hugz!

Deecee 12-02-2009 12:47 AM

Welcome back Shadow. Take care of yourself and rest up.

mcdaniel023 12-02-2009 01:51 PM

Glad you are back. Take care and mind those Drs.

sewjoyce 12-02-2009 01:56 PM

So glad to see you back!!

You need a care package of paperback books/quilt mags? What do you like to read????

Shadow Dancer 12-02-2009 02:12 PM

I read romance and mysteries...life can never have too much mysterious romance! lol

Shadow Dancer 12-02-2009 02:28 PM

Aww that is so sweet of you. :) Thank you :)

I always get a kick out of romance novels, the men are always dashing with names like "Luscious Lance", and rich! And they always get their woman!! LOL

A rich, luscious guy, with rippling muscles..... Hmm, has anyone ever noticed on the Simpsons that when
Ned Flanders takes his shirt off, he becomes one of those paperback romance guys?

Shadow, have you found all the bunnies in the Shop Hop yet?

sandpat 12-02-2009 03:03 PM

So great to have you back even if its just a little at a time SD! Take it slow and take care of yourself first!

Shemjo 12-02-2009 03:09 PM

Welcome back! Hmmm, I guess I will have to spend more time with the romance mysteries. Koontz and Baldacci don't spend much time with rippling abs!

Bettia 12-02-2009 03:20 PM

Thank you for this letter. I have been so worried for so long. Happy days ahead.
Take care Love.

Shadow Dancer 12-02-2009 03:24 PM

I haven't found all of them yet. My daughter was bored last night so I sent her the link and she spent the evening bunny hunting! LOL This morning she said she was up to 110 bunnies found. I guess I better get moving on them. lol

Glad you are feeling better and the results were positive.
You are still in my prayers.
I had 2 surgeries last year within 6 months of each other. The last one was the worst. I wanted to sew so bad, but had all I could do to get stronger again.I did like you, go to my sewing room, touch fabric, look at patterns and putter around. Now I am quilting up a storm. Do as the doc says, it really does help you get better faster.

quiltykitty 12-02-2009 05:54 PM

Shadow, I am so very glad you are doing well. Keep up the good healing. Look forward to seeing you back in chat.

alaskasunshine 12-02-2009 05:55 PM

Merry Christmas S.D. I am glad you are on the mend and getting back your strength! Be easy on yourself and try not to push your self too fast. We are praying for you to be back in full swing.
Stay warm! :-D :-D :-D

Have you read Koontz' latest -- this guy kinda sorta had ripply abs -- not that he got to use them or anything

Shadow Dancer 12-02-2009 07:29 PM

I love Koontz, I mean his books...haven't seen the ripped abs. lol

sewjoyce 12-02-2009 08:11 PM

His latest book, "Breathless", really sucks! I finished it last night and it was like he just got tired of writing or he didn't meet his publisher's deadline. I was VERY disappointed!!!!

Sandy1951 12-02-2009 11:23 PM

Shadow,

Do you have someone who can go to the library for you? If so, have you ever read any of Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper mysteries? The titles are all from quilt blocks, although the books aren't exactly about quilting. They combine mystery and romance. I really like them. Once I got started on the first, I couldn't wait to read the rest. Oh, it's best to read them in order. The first is "Fool's Puzzle." Here's a link:

http://www.earlenefowler.com/books.htm

I am, like my signature line says, an avid reader, so if you need any more suggestions I'd be glad to offer some. Mysteries and thrillers are my favorites, although quilt books run a close third.

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better each day!
