Shadow Dancer 11-29-2009 09:19 AM

I am kind of back, as long as I stay on the couch and rest. No one said anything about not visiting you all as not resting.

I would like to say thank you for all the thoughts and well wishes. I am doing okay, taking things a day at a time...and itching to get back to my sewing. But that won't be for awhile yet, although i did visit my machines and the projects that are sitting on my table patiently waiting for me to get back to them.

I have watched more episodes of Criminal Minds than I care to remember, re-read two books, found a gazillion quilt patterns that I am going to have to make and I am bored to tears!!

I will pop on and read the board and can't wait till I am back in full swing again.

Thank you all again my friends. :)

S.D.

I'm so glad you are bored to tears!!! You have to be getting better to be bored. :) The last time I was sick for a few days, I got hooked on www.hulu.com It's a site that has old TV shows for free. It's a wonder my mind didn't turn to mush!

redquilter 11-29-2009 09:36 AM

Glad to hear you're coming along - thoughts and prayers are with you for continued improvement. Hopefully you'll be back at your machine and good as new!

Take care.

I mean really do these woman think , on Maury for DNA tests fot the 10th time  :!:  Can you imagine what their families think.. but I digress

WELCOME BACK  :D

Welcome back, keep resting, take care of YOU! Even though that fabric is calling your name, it's soft and very forgiving and will be happy whenever you get to it.

Jim's Gem 11-29-2009 11:46 AM

I'm glad you are doing well. Take good care of yourself and don't try to do too much!!! Eat healthy and get lots of rest.

I can relate to the being board to tears. I had my right shoulder done 3 weeks ago and ended up with another infection. I have read 9 novels, thoroughly read and studied 5 Judy Martin quilting books, read countless magazines and watched a dozen movies. I am so bored!!!!

I find I can get on here for a little while before I start hurting. I have 3 weeks in a sling left to go but I may try to do some easy sewing this week. I have to do something before I go stir crazy!!!!

It has been wonderful the last couple of days with a couple of my kids home but they all leave again this evening.

tigger5464 11-29-2009 12:00 PM

Welcome back!!!! So good to hear that you are doing well. I can understand the bored thing with my hand in a cast and not able to grip anything. Makes it really hard to hold a pin let alone a pencil or even feed myself.

Hang in there....it gets better. Had my shoulder done a few years back and couldn't do anything then either...but it gets better. Can't wait to see the wonderful creations that you come up with when you get back to sewing. Hugs and well wishes and lots of prayers.

MadQuilter 11-29-2009 04:26 PM

Glad to hear you are on the mend. Please listen to the Doc's advice and continue being bored for a while. Relapses suck - no matter what the circumstances. Just think how much energy you'll have when you're cleared to jump back in the sewing saddle.

Pats8e8 12-01-2009 12:10 AM

Glad you are back, listen to your Dr., take it easy and just read these messages to keep you from getting too bored. Rest up and keep dreaming of some new fantastic quilt that you will do as soon as you are able. You are not off of my prayer list yet, not until you are 100%.

nana2 12-01-2009 05:55 AM

You must be doing great to be up and about even a little. Keep those quilting thoughs flowing, day time T.V. just doesn't cut it!!! As long as we can dream of the next quilt pattern we want to make our minds are not mushing, but I just can't stand to watch another soap opera or any other stupid human arguments in someone's court room. However late at night Golden Girls still airs here and it is about the only thing I can stand. I love how "Ma" cuts through the stuff and gets right to the point. Makes me laugh. Wish someone would write a show about life with a quilter. LOL

CajunQuilter2 12-01-2009 06:58 AM

So happy to hear things are going well since the surgery. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way for a continued great recovery.
